It only recently rebranded, most still call it Living TV, so I doubt it. Plus it was advertised before the change, and the handover in ownership was reported on the web and in the news, plus on VM and Sky's own websites.

BBC One repeated the whole sketchbook series a few years ago. 2008, I think. They showed two editions in their full hour versions, and the other four as thirty-minute cutdowns. The ratings were around 2m.

That's pretty disappointing, down about 320k on the last season opener. However, the audience share is up by 0.2 points. Hopefully when it moves back to 9pm next week the audience will rise as a result.
Also, only 4 out of the 10 episodes that aired in Q4 2010 rated better than that.
I can understand why more females are watching certain tv programmes than male - but that Merlin figure does stand out, 58-42 female skew is quite an eye-opener. SCD/TXF/DA are obviously not massive draws for males to watch - (I watch DA for the high production values & to stare at Lady Sybil 
)
Naturally post 9pm shows usually skew older than their counterparts at 6pm/7pm - due to the fact most under 16's are supposedly in bed when they are broadcast. At least we know what over 65's love to watch - Antiques Roadshow, Countryfile, Susan Boyle, Joanna Lumley, Doc Martin, The Jury, Celebrity Millionaire - all of which makes me feel quite youthful, though I did watch CM.

It probably would have rated the same had it aired against The Jury, it hasn't got similar competition so a rise could occur.
BB should do well tonight but I think they need to fix any problems before CBB starts in January.

my mother was 60 this year, and LOVES Merlin, so it does not surprise me.

ABC's Good Morning America was the only US morning show to increase its audience in the week of October 31 by comparison with the same week last year - up 15%.

CBS really does poorly outside of primetime which is the reverse of NBC who have daytime and latenight sewn up. Although The Talk seems to be doing okay.

-Law & Order: SVU
-Community
-Prime Suspect
-Chuck
All cancelled and potentially Parks & Rec and Whitney as well. Grimm gets some slack because it airs on Friday (although that's not enough to save Chuck). Its quite spectacular how badly things are going for NBC. But as terrible as things are going for them they're still only 0.2 behind ABC season to date. That football alone is able to make that race for third competitive says something about how terrible ABC is as well right now.”

Indeed add Parks and Rec to that list, which I'm quite gutted about to be honest.
NBC need The Voice to do extremely well in the spring, although I think it'll return down.
A lot of hard work will need to be done in the NBC development office!

..and if they thought she was a good acquisition, they would have put her Sky1.
A big audience for EE last night which was close to 9m and it's best Thursday night rating since April. Emmerdale had a strong night too with both episodes drawing a solid 7.5m. Corrie did better than usual for a Thursday, and should do better tonight. The Mentalist started with a lower figure than I expected. Ashame, as it was a great start to the new run. Celebrity Jucie did as well as ever for ITV2.
The Jury did solidly last night, I think ITV will be pleased that it did not drop below 4 million against tough competition on Tuesday and Wednesday and as thus will timeshift to above 5 million.

I think Channel 5 have been keeping a keen eye on BBC Two's recent Saturday night success with its older-skewing comedy lineup and now they want in on the action themselves. It's a bit cheeky but it might work.
Can't do any worse than their current Saturday night lineup. There is a proven audience out there for archive programming like this.

This surprises me as fantasy tends to more popular with men and children than women.
However, reality shows, morning gossip programmes like This Morning, soaps and talent contests do skew more towards women in the same say Soccer Saturday would be a mostly male preserve( although as a bloke I can't stand football and there are plenty of women who can't stand soaps as well).
Out of interest, which show has the biggest male skew and which has the biggest female skew, I did read here that ANTM had an 80 pc female share, which isn't surprising.
I dont know if this has been mentioned on this thread before, but there are blokes who watch My Little Pony, I find it a bit creepy (not MLP, the fact that blokes watch it) look up Bronies.
The point is this, some shows will break gender and age expectations, and in these modern times we really should not be so quick to judge things or people along gender lines. I dont try to act along gender lines, myself would hate to think I act in such a predictable manner.

It looks like the I'm a Celebrity final will be on Sunday 4th December from 9pm to 10:15pm. There's a 90 minute blank on Friday 9th December from 9pm to 10:30pm - which I suspect maybe the Coming Out show.
