8.2m for IAC inc plus 1. Similar to how the episode against CIN concert rated 2 years ago.

still a bit on the poor side. I'm sure it will be down tonight and very strong on Sat, Sun & Mon though

0.5m for the +1 is very high - only TXF is getting that level

Ouch in both cases!

Both suggest to me that CIN Rocks did very well.

So, IAC continues to bleed viewers profusely. Down from 11.5m to 7.7m over just 4 eps. Glad GeorgeS only works in telly and not in an operating theatre after his prognosis yesterday...

You are guaranteed to get that job in the poultry factory - you are excellent at counting your chickens...

4.3m (16.8%) for CIN Rocks (?) Machester - 6.1m (24.5%) in 2009

If that is true, then there are no excuses at all for the poor IAC figure!

What were people watching then?

equally the low IAC figure means there is no excuse for CIN Rocks (?) being down a whopping 30%

Sopranos, Fringe and In Treatment on Sky+.

Life's Too Short and Rev on tonight's list.

4.3m people were delighted by the concert according to DS. Hope they realise the concert overran by about a minute heh. News came on at 10.01.

By the way what cruel person told Hugh Laurie he was a talented Singer and Musician but that was very mean of them and is totally untrue, maybe it was him that turned everybody off.

It seemed a fair conclusion to jump to given the poor IAC rating. I guess enough of the kids ditched IAC for the pop whilst the oldies stuck with it or the Queen doc on 4 which did very well

I'm a Celebrity's dip is a bit odd considering the poor Children in Need Rocks rating. I would put it down to the very good Channel 4 performance in the 9pm hour. Although a breakdown for Children in Need Rocks would be nice.

One would think CINR did better in the second hour. But given BBC1 usually gets a base 4m against the soap hour, perhaps it was fairly flat - say 4.6m for second hour against 4m in the first.

Either way, I doubt it will be repeated with those numbers.....

When you start with 11.5m and dip to 7.7m 4 days later against 4m rated opposition, then yes.

Context is everything.

It's not about ratings. It's about fund-raising.

Even with timeshifting, Ricky and Steve could be getting fewer viewers than their Sky 1 shows.

If you look at IAC's previous series ratings though, there is usually a drop from the Sunday episode to Thursday/Friday before swinging back up on Saturday-Monday before dipping again on Tue-Fri. IAC rated similar to how it did against the CIN concert a couple of years ago - given the CIN conert rated poorly though, it probably should've been above 8m (exc +1). I wouldn't say it's a poor figure even by its standards though - it's not uncommon for the show to rate in the high 7's/low 8's. Tonight's episode is probably looking at around 6m (inc +1) if it experiences a similar kind of drop as last year.

CINR did worse than I expected but I guess the novelty has worn off now. I think they should come up with something different if they want to do a spin-off show again next year. IAC didn't seem to benefit but pehaps the demographics of the concert skewed quite young. Channel's 4 & 5 did well at 9pm considering the competition.

RZT, do you know what the overnight rating for Ice Age 3 was last Sunday without +1? (Sun 13th Nov, Channel 4, 5:45pm). The Guardian says it got 4.56m rising to 4.6m with +1, which seems unlikely given it suggests less than 90k on +1.

HBO are paying half the money, I doubt the BBC are that bothered by it's low ratings...

On This Morning today Kerry Ketona was rounding up ex IAC finalists and trying to convince ITV they all want to come back and do a special 'Winners Series'.

Apparently Stacey Solomon and Gino DiCampo are behind her.

Not sure if this is ITVs idea or her agents.

Queen's Hidden Cousins did very well on C4. Im guessing it benefited from being a decent alternative to the younger skewing alternatives on the other terrestrials.

CIN concert did well below expectations but Im A Celeb didnt really take advantage either.

Life's Too Short fell a lot but was to be expected given the reception of the first episode and the increased competition. Seems like the Beeb were justified in putitng Rev at the start of the hour too, maybe they knew LTS was a stinker?
