Strictly Getting Shorter
Sandra Bee

I hate it when the programme starts to get shorter and shorter as couples drop out.

I also hate it when there are less and less couples 'up the stairs'.

The better dancers will soon be voted off and 'the end is nigh'

Most of them'll die off and they'll make the living do more dances to fill it up. Can you stand two doses a week of dutiful Jason?

Yeah'I kind of feel sad actually that we are almost at the end.
Hopefully some of my favourites will be doing the live tour(even if I cant go at least I will still see them dance on youtube videos lol).

Cheer up edy10 - we're not even half way through, never mind nearly at the end.

How else do you suggest someone wins it then?

Absolutely - more if he can manage it

What makes it worse for me is I won't see the Final live as I leave the country on the 12th
(Sounds ominous / grand eh?)

Everything has its time - enjoy SCD while lasts. I like football in the winter but take no interest in it during the cricket season. Variety is the spice of life !

Oh god, I hadn't thought of that

Every couple stays in each week doing a different dance till they've danced them all, the judges scores are added up at the end and the public vote in the last show only, combine the scores for the winner

That would work imo. But the shows would be 2hrs each time plus results. Could lose the will to live?

It won't start getting interesting until Audley, Lulu, Alex, Russell and Anita have gone.

I bloody hope this happens. It would be a great shame to lose Jason, Harry, Chelsee or Holly in the next couple of weeks but I can't see all 4 making it - I'd say Harry and Holly are more at risk of the shock boot.

To think there's only been a couple of stand out dances so far (IMO).

Lots of good perms on that too. You could cull on results at 4 weeks or 8 or 12 and let the public save one if they want to vote. Then have the final as now with 3 people in it.

Common sense amongst the viewers usually prevails as the series progresses.

The "lemons" are only included to create "Ballroom cliffhangers" every Saturday night in the early stages.

Best way to deal with this would be to bring in new couples, Big Brother Style, at the semi-finals stage - preferably pros with members of this Forum - then rearrange the scoring system and have all marks out of 100 - oh, and colour-theme the shows.

It's like Wimbledon tennis - the fewer players on fewer courts mean increased public interest, until the two Finals Days when people fork out ridiculous sums to come along to watch just one or two matches!

Yes, I can along with Harry , but last year they didn't do two dances until the semi-final and that was over two nights, well along with the results show three nights.
