Wednesday 30th May to Saturday 2nd June - BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra, BBC Hereford & Worcester and BBC Sport website

Cricket: County Championship Division One
Worcestershire v Somerset - Kevin Howells, Iain O'Brien, Dave Bradley and Trevor Owens (commentary)

Howells was reporting for Radio 5 Live while Bradley and Owens updated BBC Hereford & Worcester's FM platforms with commentary going out on their 738AM frequency. Not sure who was there for BBC Somerset or if they had a specific reporter to provide updates for them at all.

Cennydd Davies has tweeted that he'll be Radio Cymru's commentator for Wales' Summer Rugby union tour to Australia.

Radio Scotland's webpage suggests they are only giving updates to the Australia V Scotland match (that's on in very wet conditions).

Question for you Ian - do you know if BBC Radio Wales and/or Radio Cymru will be doing commentary on the ACT Brumbies v Wales tour match on Tuesday?

I see commentary on the three test matches with Australia are listed on the Scrum V schedule pages but I can't see any reference to that match.

It wouldn't surprise me if BBC Radio Wales/Cymru have similar charter requirements to the ones that Radio 5 Live have in that they have to do a set amount of current affairs output during the day which might preclude them from doing full commentary, but even so it's only a one-off, surely there's enough interest to justify covering the match and as they have a team in Australia they might as well cover it. Out of interest will Sky Sports/Australian TV be televising the game?

I think it's just commentary for the 3 match Test Series. Cennydd may provide a report on the match for BBC Wales TV (as he did for a pre-day training session report for Wales Today this afternoon)

It's not on Australian TV as far as I can see. as for Fox Sports it calshes with Australia V Japan in the AFC World Cup Qualifiers.

Australia V Wales (International RU Friendly from Brisbane)

BBC Radio Cymru - Steffan Garrero (studio host) with John Devereux also with him to provide occasional analysis. Commentary from Gareth Charles and Gareth Delve (All frequencies)

BBC Radio Cymru - Gareth Rhys Owen (studio host) with Emyr Lewis also with him. Commentary from Cennydd Davies and, making his debut nervously, Josh Turnbull. Gareth and Emyr were providing studio commentary on the game for the first 18 minutes of play, as right after the first minute of play, the line went down. As soon as the line came back, Australia go and score a try.

Thursday 7th June - BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

5 Live Baseball with Nat Coombs (in London) and Josh Chetwynd (in Tucson, Arizona)

Baseball: National League
Chicago Cubs @ Milwaukee Brewers - Bob Uecker and Joe Block (commentary provided by Newsradio AM 620 WTMJ - "the Brewers Radio Network")

I would tell you whether 5LSE took commentary on the whole game or if their French Open tennis commitments meant they missed the opening stages from Miller Park, but unfortunately whatever was being broadcast on the BBC Asian Network at the same time as 5 Live Baseball appears to have been uploaded to the IPlayer instead of the advertised programme.

Going by Nat's Twitter I can tell you that baseball writers Jonah Keri and Keith Law joined Nat and Josh during the studio segments. The next live baseball on 5LSE is the Houston Astros @ San Francisco Giants game next Thursday after their T20 cricket coverage (provisionally pencilled in for the later time of 8.30pm).

Day 2 - Jonathan Overend + Neil Harman

Looking ahead to this week there is some changes to the team for 5 Live's US Open golf coverage. Iain Carter's broken leg means he won't be travelling but he will present the coverage. Andrew Cotter, Jay Townsend and Russell Fuller will be on site. Andrew Cotter has been switched from TV's Queen's tennis team.

Thanks for the heads up Andy (and good to see you back on here, hope you are enjoying the Euros) - shame I didn't see your message in time to listen to the commentary but thanks nonetheless. Anyone have details of ABC Radio's coverage team?

It was Ed Marriage (courtesy of the IPlayer, which now appears to have fixed the bug that had seen it uploading BBC Asian Network programmes instead of the listed 5LSE ones).

5 Live Golf: The U.S Open

Host: Iain Carter (from London)

At the Olympic Club in San Francisco, commentary from: Andrew Cotter, Russell Fuller & Jay Townsend

I listen to a lot of 5 Live's sports output, tennis, cricket especially, but, I have to say their golf coverage is the best of the lot, absolutely first rate. Insightful, amusing and totally telling the story of the tournament despite having such as small number of correspondents out there (shame there's no Jon Murray but with Chris Evans out of the way they can actually talk golf which they are brilliant at).

Special mention to Andrew Cotter, who was supposed to be at Queens, but, replaced Iain Carter at the last minute when he was declared unfit for travel, who has got be the best golf commentator out there. Sky should really sign him up, I've been watching their TV coverage and he, quite frankly, is on another level to Murray & Critchley. Jay Townsend also, unlike most ex-players, really adds something to the coverage with his forthright and interesting opinions.

All in all, can't wait for the Open at Lytham! Great work.

TMS- England vs West Indies 1st ODI

Commentators: Simon Mann, Tony Cozier & Charles Dagnall (making his TMS debut)

Summarisers: Vic Marks, Viv Richards, Alec Stewart & Ed Smith

Dagnall (who played for Leicestershire and is BBC Leicester's cricket correspondent) was alright (though he has a slightly odd voice?), however, I was surprised he got the nod ahead of Alison Mitchell or, the seemingly very underrated, Kevin Howells. Perhaps they'll get a go later in the series .

5 Live Baseball with Nat Coombs (in London) and Josh Chetwynd (in Tucson, Arizona)

Baseball: National League
Houston Astros @ San Francisco Giants - Dave Flemming and Jon Miller (commentary provided by KNBR - "The San Francisco Giants Radio Network")

Posting these details before the IPlayer archive expires later this evening. With this match having an 8.45pm start our time, it meant that 5LSE were able to carry the game in full. Regarding the commentary, Dave and Jon were working two inning solo stints before switching back and forth to commentate for the Giants' local TV coverage. Tonight's 5 Live Baseball begins at 8.30pm, with the live game being an Interleague match between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Oakland Athletics.
