David said this during his pre-match preview for talkSPORT (who, like BFBS and others, are taking Talking Rugby's updates) as well. A bit embarrassing for him but it happens to the best of them, David! It doesn't change my view that he's an excellent reporter and I hope he's talkSPORT's man in the Republic of Ireland camp at Euro 2012 this summer.

Just going back to last weekend's Super Bowl, BBC Radio's commentary was simulcast on both Radio 5 Live and Radio 5 Live Sports Extra. Radio 5 Live joined the commentary in time for kick-off but Sports Extra stayed with it to its conclusion which has not happened in past years. With their live coverage ending earlier than scheduled (about 3.30am our time), after a news bulletin they filled the following half hour with "game highlights" (which I believe would become their Super Bowl podcast that was aired on Sports Extra the following day) before 5 Live went to an hour long archive programme and Sports Extra went off-air at 4am.

it was a great commentary from Mike. one comment about half way through somed up what a joke this challenger was... it was something like 'if Carpinsi is the number 11 ranked fighter, I'd hate to see the number 12.' couldn't agree more. that said, you can only beat what is in front of you and Nathan did a good job.

BBC Radio Five Live Sports Xtra - Johnny Saunders (0-40) Gareth Lewis (40-80) and Robert Jones

Real Radio Wales - Hamish Stuart.

This marks the first time I've heard Real Radio do a sports report, as even though they've got rid of their own network of sports reporters at Welsh clubs in Football league action, I still check at the usual time they used to do sports previews at around 2.20pm by taking IRN people, but today is the first time this has happened.

Either a) Real Radio have jumped on the Grand Slam possibility bandwagon,
b) Real Radio have been taking sports reports all the time, and I have missed them,
c) Go to 10
d) Run
