I think it is natural that they were both different outside the house, with being back to reality ie work, bills, family and friends they were bound to see different sides to each other that they hadn't seen in the confines of the Big Brother house, Josie probably found John different too, maybe it would have worked better if they hadn't moved in together so quickly but got to know each other in normal surroundings, suppose we will never know

I agree with this. There is no way that Josie would have found his friends acceptable in their views so the relationship would have had no chance of working in the long term.

Oh a convo I saw between Michael Kruze a loy friend of john's and that little bushpig boy who talks about black people in an insulting manner with words I would not want to repeat on the thread. I realise Puck shouldn't put these Facebook conversations up but it gives us an insight into how some of these loys talk about people, and I hope that John is as unimpressed as I am.

I think Josie is exactly what I imagined her to be. A social butterfly, the life and soul party girl, who makes friends easily, has a warm friendly nature with a firey side and doesnt put up with fools. She is what she said on the tin.
John I think in the house gave us mixed signals. He was friendly to everyone, fun,up for a bit of a laugh but wouldnt make a tit out of himself.He indicated he was up for clubbing , he talked about it many times even if it was without alcohol, he obviously had a large circle of friends and talked about being the leader which suggested he was very sociable.
But he also said he didnt do dates , girls had to go to him, never went for 1 on 1 meals, he suggested after
his DAd died he had become reclusive, both at odds with the friendly , clubber previously suggested. He did tell us he was an argumentative pratt. But I think in BB he gave the idea he could make friends easily but in London and with Josie's friends did he do this?
All I know is that to me he was a strange buggar but lovely. Dont know if I could live with him though.

Dont agree with this at all. There is no evidence that John approves of this talk. My ex's dad was not to be blunt a racist, sexist,homophobic pratt. My ex on the other hand was the complete opposite. He did not agree with things his father said and told him not to speak like that especially in our presence or that of our children's. It was not his fathers views that put a strain on our relationship and I dont think John having idiots as friends would have strained Josie and John especially living in different countries.
PS the best thing that ever happened was one of his daughters came out as a lesbian. Oh how I laughed as he had to accept his daughter for who she was.

You can't choose your family but you can choose your friends. If someone has a close circle of mates who think like that then it is bound to affect the way that they themselves are viewed.
And no, I don't think John himself thinks like that, just that he find it acceptable in his friends.

Anyway it doesn't matter now. John is happy back in Oz with his friends and family and Sherry.
And Josie seems to have found someone who loves her for the person she is and is proud to be with her and who is happy to mix with her friends and family.
Sorry to bring it up it may not be right but we are judged by the company we keep, and it has been troubling me as a black person that John would be friends with people like this. Having said this I don't think John is responsible for his friends and their views and I am sure these are not his view. Just don't mention the loys to me please grrrrr

I know that lots of people are quite happy to be friends with people who are racist. I just don't think Josie would be one of those people. I could be wrong but everything we have seen about her would indicate that it would be offensive to her, because so many of the people that she loves are black or mixed race. That is why I think that it is a good thing that she is not having to face that dilema.
