Do you think if his Dad was still alive, things might have been different?”

I think 27 is getting on for still being at home, although he has his own apartment there, maybe he isnt anymore, we dont know, but as to whether things you be different if his dad was still around I d say it would, cause dads mostly have a more experienced and objective way of looking at life and a stalbling influence in the family, and John wouldnt feel so responsible for his mother, which isnt a negative thing, so its understandable, but its early days after their sudden bereavement so things could very well changed in the near future. Wo ud be worried about anyone still being at home if they reached 40 though!

Evening Johnathan My son is very much like John - yes in many respects like John he was immature, but he's now reached 30 and extremely grown up. I think it's possibly just a thing amongst some people be it male or female. Having said that I have heard of the saying that a large percentage of females are approximately 2 years older in maturity than males of the same age - please don't shoot me for repeating it In John I see a mixture, nothings cut in stone with our Johnny James that's why we support him. Good to see you back posting on the thread - welcome ”

Thank you for the welcome
My take on maturity/immaturity is why hurry the process along, you should do whatever you like in your 20’s, you won’t be able to pull off the same things in your 40’s when you’re balding with a fine set of man boobs.

I know this is off topic but this is Louise after her make-over today. I prefer her without the fringe!

Yes she looked more unique without the fringe, good job fringes grow out quickly. She is stunningly beautiful anyway.

Being in a similar situation, I think it's rather special. My son has the upstairs though, not a separate place.
I don't think it would be the same if my husband were alive, but he's not, so we do what works.
However, John's dad built the suite John lives in, didn't he....so he might have expected/hoped for him to stay around for many years.

You see I realise it must be a man thing, I agree she has good facial bone structure, but I don't in any way think she is stunning - sowwy Judy

Unfortunately yes, Mr Wends has a protruding belly

And the area built by Johns dad for John would hold special memories for John. If my son was girl less I know he would stay here with me and hubs. No way would he rent a house with A Another - throwing good money after bad. I don't see any wrong in John living in the separate apartment at all

Totally agree - although I have to say I'm rather enjoying being in my late 50s gadding about with all these JJJATers.
