Not everyone takes these things as wind ups, people jump on any chance to point and laugh. And then such 'wind ups' get reported as truths elsewhere. 'Have you seen Matt's album is bargain bin already?'. It happens. Same as people were happy to believe the ludicrous low figures for the single originally posted. Yeh it did BAD (not sure any fan could deny that) but it didn't do as bad as one poster tried to claim initially!”

very true ... there's always been windup merchants and joke threads on DS but this year it seems to have gone to a new level with the amount of smart alec threads and posts making it more like trolling than genuine humour ..... it's practically impossible now to come on here and believe any of the headlines in the thread titles or the supposed song spoilers ... the lengths some will go for attention

I agree, it's shocking for example that X Factor winners feel the need to broadcast conspiracy theories about world events to stir up publicity for their album releases.

a completely different matter

giving your opinions in an interview when asked a specific question (even if everyone doesn't agree with your opinion) is a very different situation to making up total BS and lies and posting it on a forum without provocation in order to try and be funny and bait other posters

Not necessarily bad,but it can't be the most encouraging feeling in the world for him to see that.

It appears that the OP made the whole story up

You'd think so. I asked my favourite author at a signing whether it upset her that her current book (which everyone had queued up with) was half price. She said no, it meant she'd get more sales and as she got the same payment from each book it wasn't a bad thing for her at all.

So while it might look bad, it probably says nothing more than "Asda overordered" or even "Asda wants to be able to advertise 'Buy Matt Cardle from us at half price' in order to get more people through the door".

But what if Asda didn't advertise? What if the CDs were just casually tossed there in a scruffy basket near the back of the store, kind of half-hidden away like the discretely sidelined lunatic relative nobody will ever quite admit to being embarassed by?

Over-ordered? Undersold? Who knows? Heartbreaking stuff all the same.

But none of this happened anyway. It was all in your head. So it makes no difference.

I actually went to Asda today as its not far from me and there was no such thing as Matt Cardels cd`s in the bargain bin they were in the cd section same as all the other cd`s and priced up at £9-97. Why the f**ck do people have to make up a load of crap just because they dont like someone. If they have to spout lies to get a reaction they must lead very empty sad lives .
