If any of the female acts behaved the same as Frankie.

I'm betting they wouldn't still be in the show and certainly wouldn't be getting the 'oh he's young and having fun' treatment from Gary, the producers and a proportion of the GBP.

That's Britain for you. It's exactly the same in Big Brother. It's fine for guts but not girls.

Think it tells us more about the voting demographic

A woman wouldn't have to act like Frankie to be publicly abused and pilloried. If she was attractive she would be called fit to burn, if she wasn't, she'd be called ugly and overweight, either way, Xfactor voters aren't so keen on women, but especially if they're attractive to the opposite sex.

I am surprised that women groups have not complained to the x factor and gone public at his miss-treatment of women !

Imagine the reaction if Wagner had behaved like Frankie

Two points about this

1) A huge number of people are condemning Frankie for being a slag.
2) It is women who encourage him by being his fans and queuing up to sleep with him. (If you can sleep in a car park)

I agree - remember the girlband (I can't remember their name) a couple of years ago who shock horror had a history of being pole dancers. On the first show Simon I think it was had styled them in overtly sexy outfits only for them to be absolutely torn to pieces by Dannii and Cheryl for their look rather than their performance.

Some points about your points lol :

I agree that a huge number of people are less than impressed with Frankie, thats why I said a proportion of the GBP.

Also, maybe SOME women, who seriously need to raise their standards imho, encourage him, but I certainly don't think that many are impressed.

My point really is about double standards for men and women which I know is nothing new and we all are aware of. I also will concede that there are double standards that favour women over men. I was just thinking about how obvious it is in this situation and musing on here.

It is true that there are double standards but unfortunately (big generalisation) women are attracted to 'bad boys' and men fall in love with 'good girls'.

There are biological reasons for this and it is what reinforces the stereotype. Unfortunately I don't think it will ever change.

That was Kandi Rain. They actually gave a good performance that week but still ended up being the first act eliminated.

I've said this before, but if there had been VTs of Sophie and Little Mix going out, getting drunk, pulling blokes and bragging about giving their phone numbers to guys with girlfriends there would have been an outcry! Tulisa is always at great pains to point out how Little Mix are such 'girls next door' who 'wouldn't steal your boyfriend' and yet Frankie is almost solely marketed on being a loveable shag-monster party animal. Such an outrageous double-standard.

It is a huge double standard but unfortunately, this is our society. It's been like this for decades and I doubt it will change. If a woman did it, she'd be called a slut; a man does it and he's a player or 'just a lad having fun'.

I was really turned off when his behaviour changed dramatically. So forced and unpleasant.

They're not saying he's "just a lad having fun". Look around. EVERYONE hates Frankie. The only people voting for him are teenage girls multiple times.

When's the last time you heard someone say he's just a lad having fun or something like it? Only Gary Barlow has said that.

He's probably just trying to make the most of it while he can - in 6 months time nobody will know or care who he is.

Hang on, does anybody care who he is right now?
