I think the real reason people were offended by this is because it was a sexualised move directed at another guy which would appear to make many people uncomfortable. As soon as a male shows sexual moves towards another people gt upset (whereas sexless campness they are comfortable with).
People say this move was shocking and corrupting, but it tames in comparison to Rhianna's sexually provocative moves on last years X-Factor which I think is far more corrupting towards the young of today.

BIB - Ooh I disagree!

. It didn't particularly even register with me that it was 'directed' at Craig (or was it Len?) - it was just at the judges. I wasn't offended by it, but think it was lame and vulgar, but it would have been equally lame and vulgar had he done it in Alesha's face

.
Had one of the lady contestants gone up to the judges' desk and pushed her cleavage into the judges' faces and licked her lips lasciviously, it would be equally crude and inappropriate (without necessarily being 'corrupting'). I'm not disgusted, but I do think it's lazy, tacky and tedious choreo.
I think the 'shocking' and 'corrupting' tag is an overstatement - most people here seem to think it was inappropriate or vulgar or yucky or ugly - take your pick - (or else couldn't care less) but I don't see much shock or outrage or
any homophobia.
You may need to go to the Daily Wail for that
