Pretty decent press conference - was pretty funny in places. Still not sold on the film title though. They said it works into the plot somehow so I hope the pay-off in relation to that is good. ATM though I am preferring Quantum Of Solace as a title to Skyfall and when QOS was announced I was like "WTF!".

Also hoping the film lives up to the expectations given that they have such a great cast and crew and that they are playing the cards close to their chests!

On a side note anyone else think Judi Dench looked bored/tired at the conference? I certainly did. Rumour has it this is her last film as 'M' too

If your planning on watching them all then I would suggest watching them in the order they were made. That way you get each different "era" Bond together, the ongoing elements will be easier to follow (like Bond's wife) and the films get more modern and more of a budget as they go on so you may find the later films better than the earlier ones (with the odd exception). And then of course you have the Daniel Craig Bond films which are set in a different timeline to the first 20 that are made an take the storyline back to the start, if that makes sense!

That's what's disappointing me. Sure Quantum doesn't have to appear in every movie but there are stilll many strands to the plot from the previous two films that need resolving etc imo. Hopefully it will be picked up in a later film or at least be referenced too.

I like Judi Dench as M but I'd happily welcome someone new to the role. I wish they wouldn't use M so much though, ever since Goldeneye M seems to be always a part of the story whereas Bernard Lee's M sort of introduced and ended a story.
It would be good to not need M so much.

I liked Quantum more after watching it again, and I think in the next film we'll see Bond move forward after getting some resolution and retribution. So glad Daniel Craig is playing Bond again, he's my fave Bond of all time, Connery second. I know die hards will gasp in horror at this, but I cannot help it

I prefer a real man to the smarmy wise cracking ones portrayed by Moore and Brosnan, and think Craig brings the same tough guy but vunerable man qualities we saw from Russell Crowe in LA Confidential.

No, it was never bad. Theres a lot to like about Quantum and those scenes in the South American desert are gorgeous.

You get more from Quantum every time you watch it.

Agreed. Going back to the seventies wisecracks would be a mistake. They are making different films for Craig.

Making a fuss over a black Moneypenny when they let the perfect chance pass for a black Bond is annoying. Anyone who loves the movies knows that Colin Salmon was a logical choice for Bond as opposed to third banana in a supporting role. However, looking back at the fuss made over Craig’s hair colour (Roger Moore didn’t have black hair so WTF was that all about?) the fanbase reaction to Salmon would have been interesting to watch.

People need to get their heads checked if they think Quantum of Solace was a good movie It was utter garbage from start to finsih. Not only was there a ridiculous plot but you could hardly see what was going on with the ridiculous Greengrass style camerawork.

The Bond movies need to go back to Connery days with a proper suave Bond. Daniel Craig is rubbish.

QoS was never going to be a classic Bond Movie as much as Casino Royale was but I do feel all the negative press it's been getting has been well harsh.
