Did my ears deceive me or did he just take the credit for Gamu's version of walking on sunshine?

And he said that the Eagles had never cleared Desperado before, despite giving it to Journey South six years ago. Getting up on stage to kiss Stacy seemed like he'd been watching Johnny/Barlow last weekend. And (petty I know, but ...) he said LA had been 'narcisstic' rather than narcissistic.

There's a lot to be said for having a quick glance through other, recently posted discussions before coming up with such a gem.

What Simon did tonight with gamu's version of that song was dispicable. They even had a descussion about the song and he said he'd been 'inventive' as in, like, he invented it, when he absolutely did not.

I won't comment on the moralistic view of it but in terms of as the competition goes, it was probably a smart move. The vast majority of viewers are American and a minority will have seen the audition.
