I know what you guys mean about Cher being under-rated! People recall those other divas first before big C herself. (Gotta love a bit of Tina Turner though...Proud Mary live is just the bomb <3.)”
Yeah definitely go for it...it was £11 on Amazon however but it was both discs and a shiney booklet

and its a great collection of sounds and styles from all periods of her career

Like a 4 decade retrospective which is cool
It is funny i was reading about her Farewell Tour...and she got so much flack for being "Britney-Fied" with her peroxide blonde wig, she got flack for wearing her Turn Back Time outfit at 56 - 59 on the three year world tour and most nights she dissed (well a CHer diss is actually considered respect) just about every artist under the sun per night
Just makes ya think what will she do on her Never Can Say goodbye World Tour next year (i am assuming is still on??)
And again with Cher being underrated, Cher is a very confusing artist....i mean it took 30 years until she hit a massive commercial high with both album and single of Believe....she has only had 1 UK number 1 studio album with Love Hurts and 2 number 1s in total with her Hits Compilation. Mainly due to her being in EUrope a lot at that time period. Also none of her studio albums are among high recognition either critically or commercially although Heart of Stone did sell 10 million as did Love Hurts and Believe sold 15 million which is her biggest commercially successful album....Ironically it is her world tours that garnered most acclaim, oh and her single releases (which is where The Very Bes Of Cher succeeds) and her film career too.
But i do have a feeling that now with her celebrating 45 years of music/entertainment career, 66 y.o and ready to release her 24th studio album and first album in 12 years...and world tour, Cher will garner recognition again
