I saw somewhere a comment that it was due for replacement but not heard any more.
Anyone else seen anything similar?

General opinion is Humax will wait for the final G2 spec before finalising a design. Rumoured to be based on the latest icord.

Humax, lets face it, have missed any dates they set for Freesat releases by about 6 months, so I'd say nearer 12 months minimum. Humax - if you are listening, feel free - prove me wrong !

As they are chasing a new spec as I understand it not yet fully decided it seems entirely prudent and reasonable. I can imagine the comments a la Panasonic

Failure to match the all the requirements of a spec not yet complete. Humax at least do support vod services like ITV 1.

How many other current Freesat+ boxes do so ?

I'm not saying that the final job isn't a good one on the part of Humax, I have no regrets whatsoever in buying Humax, just that they have a history of slipping dates on new Freesat releases. Add in your point on the spec not being final and it sounds like a 2012 Xmas present to me.

Does that not depend on which spec(s) they are trying to achieve - freesat G2, YouView or both - my guess is the latter.
