I very much doubt if the Queen and Prince Philip would allow her to take part even if she wanted to.

Did anyone read Craig Revel-Horwood's recent interview in The Telegraph where he was talking about the SCD dance partners he'd choose for the royals? Can't say I'd be glad to see any of them on the show, because Come the Revolution etc, but if they're good and interesting people, that'd be OK. I don't mind them if they're content to be ordinary.
Here's the Telegraph link anyway, in case anyone missed it. Who would you pick for the Queen? See if you agree with Craig. ![]() http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/t...orwood....html Wouldn't mind Colin Firth though. (Has he been on it? He's too big really for the show but would be terrific fun.) I mentioned this in the TCA thread and agree with Craig's choice of partner for the Duchess of Cambridge, I think they'd look very good together ..... no, unfortunately Colin Firth hasn't been on the show

I dont want Beatrice....sure she is a perfectly nice girl but no thanks.
Zara Phillips confirmed two series ago that she had been asked but turned it down. |

I wouldn't want any members of the Royal Family to take part - Bruice and Tess would not be able to contain themselves

No - I too wouldn't like to see a member of The Royal Family on Strictly. I remember what happened when four of them appeared in "It's a Knockout". Don't think HM would allow it. Would like to see William on it though.

hello Pet

Craig seems so different away from the show and on ITT where you get a funny guy and kindly and honest opinions (whereas sometimes on the show he's unkindly honest). Does the nice Craig ever escape onto the live show? Perhaps the floor producer would tell him off if he went out of character...

Agreed - I'd love Zara to do the show. Unlike Beatrice she's actually achieved stuff in her own right & still makes do without bodyguards.

Y'all are saying she will not but you never know.
She might want to become a national Treasure like Ann Widdecombe did. (Believe it or not Ann Widdecombe was loved by many) |

Your right Ann Widdecombe Is loved by many. Fergie on the show would be amazing with Beatrice and Eugene in the audience cheering their Mum on.

Why don't you start your own show Terry, with all the people on it that YOU like and most of the rest of us don't?

Who would you pick for the Queen? See if you agree with Craig. ![]() Who would | pick to dance with the Queen? Why another aging Queen of course - Christopher Biggins. Or Brucie or Lionel Blair because they are all much of an age and couldn't swing the poor old trout around and make her dizzy.

No! Then we have to tolerate Bruce, Tess, Zoe/Claudia, and really the entire SCD cast fawning over her royal highness (or whatever it is that we have to call a Princess).

I really don't think the Royal Family will allow any member to take part in Strictly, some have already mentioned "It's A Knockout-gate", they'd be very wary of anything that would possibly embarrass their image again.
I could see Fergie take part in future, but then she's not really a part of the Royal Family anymore. |

NO - I don't want to see any of the so called 'Royals' or anyone loosely connected to them on SCD. They are PARASITES!
Also agree with the comments on this thread that the arse licking of them would be undbearable! You just know that however good, bad or indifferent they would be - it would still be fixed for them to stay until the end! |

I've always respected his opinions on Strictly and, as you said, he's a different man when he's not playing his part on the Saturday show

Ben Elton wrote a book in which Charles was a contestant - Chart Throb.
Not bad - not his best, but worth reading. |
