What a great buzz there is around the city today. Just been in a City Centre pub (the Crown) and merrily supping a few pints of the black stuff was 4 members of a very famous band. Dandered round to the John Hewitt and there was Snow Patrol standing at the bar deciding where to head next, I hear their going to the Duke.

BTW GAGA is coming to the Europa see the crowds outside it.


Anyhow.......anybody got a spare ticket for Sunday nights show in the Oddessy

It's sooooo exciting i can't wait to go driving through the city centre tonight to see who i can spot lol

Really exciting time for the city, hope we can show the rest of the world how far we've moved on and the great culture and heritage we offer.

Just hope the idiotic 1% don't try and ruin things with bomb alerts and the like.

I'm so proud to be from Ireland now. Gutted i didn't go get tickets last sunday at the big giveaway but i'll go into town over the weekend to get into the buzz of it all! I think after Eminem doing the huge gig here months ago, Rihanna shooting video, and now the EMA's I think it will help put Belfast on the map now, Also the Titanic memorial thats being built will bring alot of attention here next year

I remember when the EMA's were held in Edinburgh, the atmosphere really was pretty electric and rife with the latest gossip of divaish demands from J Lo and Christina Aguilera.

It may be great for our wee country but I have zero interest in the MTV awards because it's just not my thing.

Belfast is electric tonight ;O Unfortunely I'm not going to the show , but I was planning on going to the Oddessy on sunday night to see if I could spot some celebs in Box

It would have been awesome to be there, but I'm proud Belfast are hosting this year

Queen is being honoured. Brian May and Roger Taylor have said they'll be giving a "special performance". I wonder if Lady Gaga will be fronting them.

My friends dad owns building next to odyssey and MTV approached him to use their facilities for celebs and catering

The EMAs are on Sunday.

I won tickets to the main awards show on Sunday night and it's safe to say that I am extremely extremely excited.

The buzz around the city is fantastic and it's just great to see everybody getting together and talking about the awards.

Only negative thing is that it says on the sheet that I'm not allowed to bring a camera

Ahh soo excited, I queued from 11pm last Saturday night and didn't actually get the ticket until 12pm the day after, with the clocks going back the same night, it was a VERY long wait in the cold but so worth it now that I get to see the love of my life Gaga, and all of the other big celebs on Sunday night!

I'm hoping I can properly meet or get a photo with at least one major celeb..would be awesome!

Amazing atmosphere in belfast tonight

Hundreds outside the merchant hotel to see Bieber at the MTV Voices awards, which one of our company's partner, northern Ireland youth forum won. Seen the hoff here as well

Then was round at city hall and snow patrol kicked off a sound check at 9pm..they played the stage for an hour with little interruption, was basically a free mini concerts for us there t watch. Amazing. And much more relaxed and personal from the band....beats been squashed by 1000s

But I hear the jaw-dropping performance of the night will be from former American Idol contestant ADAM LAMBERT who will join legendary band QUEEN for a medley of hits.

FREDDIE MERCURY’s band will be honoured at the event with the Global Icon Award.
