F*** me, Queen's new lead singer. What a voice. Great performance. The most justice I've seen and heard done to Freddie.
I was always a big fan but had stopped following them for about the last 3 or 4 years.
Perhaps not the songs I'd have chosen (I'd have replaced We Will Rock You with Don't Stop Me Now) but I'm just being picky. That knocked me sideways.

I haven't read through this thread at all, but I imagine there are a lot of comments about how much of a joke the EMA's are. Anyway, having read the list of winners, I add my voice to these sentiments!
How the eff does Adele not win an award? And how does katy perry win best live act over coldplay and the chilli peppers??? And who the hell is selena gomez????? Couldnt they find a proper presenter, she irritated the hell out of me.
No Uk act won any award i dont think. Coldplay lost and the biggest artist of the year Adele lost.
And if Born this way is the single of the year, then music has really declined. Ive listened to that song and its beyond crap, ive heard 100 better singles this year.

UK =/= Europe. BTW has been an internationally successful song, regardless of where it charted.
But that's neither here nor there, EMA's are fan voted awards for the most part (Best Video isn't, which she won also) so it's obvious that Gaga and Bieber would triumph considering how massive and active their fanbases are (same goes for that Korean boyband that won). Especially compared to the likes of Adele who doesn't have that.
Plus, it's an award show after all. They like to reward big artists for showing up. There were reports of Gaga getting something like 60 million votes, beating Bieber in the "Best Fan" category (which was not televised) but somehow was outvoted by Bieber in "Best Pop" (which was). Funny that. Katy Perry won "Best Live" but in no way could she have outvoted Gaga. She was there though and has hosted a few times, so of course she won something in the televised show.
Adele was unlikely to shine in any of these award shows, it's the Grammy's and Brit's that she'll dominate.
