Mabird and I spent many years competing on the ballroom circuit and one of the little habits you pick up (and keep) is spotting the other dancers in degrees of improvement
Always the rapid improvement happens to "naturals" who suddenly realise they can dance
Such a natural is Chelsee and watching her rehearsals tonight you could see that sudden change in confidence and the flooding out of all that natural talent
Great feet great feel for the interpretation and a developing poise that is going to make her one of the top three
That is of course from the dance angle not the public vote which can go any which way

I think she is probably the biggest surprise of the series. I didnt think I was going to like her at first - know her from Waterloo Road and not too sure about her on there - however, she has proved that she has talent and her and Pasha are the complete package.

I think she has alot of support and hopefully will be there in the final - she certainly deserves to be on her performances up to now.

I think you are absolutely right - Chelsee is a natural, which has sustained her so far, as I feel she may currently lack the real focus and discipline needed for true star quality - Pasha is doing an excellent job trying to instil that discipline and focus into her and she will be even more wonderful to watch if he succeeds Definitely a partnership which is going to reach the Finals - at least!

(As a dance 'lay person' it was really interesting to read your views, as an experienced dance competitor )

I think Chelsee is fab and her and Pasha have a great partnership. With so little training each week, Chelsee has delivered pretty solid performances so hopefully she'll be stunning if she gets more time when WR filming eases off. I have great hopes for their charleston which, if there are no blunders, could give them a well-deserved 10. Hope they win but I still reckon either Jason or Harry will get the trophy.

I agree. I didn't know Chelsee at all, saw her on the launch show and wasn't sure what to make of her to be honest.

After her first dance I was on her side because I couldn't stand how she was getting patronised, after that it was her dancing and her partnership with Pasha that I liked - I love them.

I didnt expect to like her as much as I do... and pasha is just adorable too. She is such a natural dancer, I just so look forward to her dances. I actually think shes the first one since Jill halfpenny who just has that total natural ability.

I think more and more people are seeing it and warming to her and pasha.... My money is on them.

Watching them tonight on ITT confirmed them as my favourites and I hope they win.

Jason can be a worthy runner up!

Just how many threads can you post this on?

I was one of those chuckling at the jokes on Chelsee about her sending Pasha almost unreadable txt msgs. Now I am willing to 'eat my words' so to speak when I saw that she was so down to earth and such a talent too!

I wasn't sure about Chelsee when I saw her on the launch show. I don't watch Waterloo Road so I'd never heard of her. I think she's a natural dancer and her partnership with Pasha has developed wonderfully. He's a great addition to the show, unlike the American lad last year who was such a non-entity that I could never remember his name.
I do hope Chelsee does well in the competition as she comes across as a very uncomplicated Lancashire lass.

Thanks, Pabird - I remember your posts from last year, particularly when you had a similar feeling for Kara. You were proved right then, and I hope you are proved right again!

As we know, it takes more than just being a good dancer to win this show (and sometimes not even that *coughChrisHollinscough*). But the surge in support for Chelsee and Pasha is palpable, and not just on this forum. I think the combination of good dancing, a cute relationship between pro and celeb, plus the inevitable j****** may very well prove to be a winning combination. If I were a gambler, I'd put money on them to win...

And I confess I sat with my jaw unbecomingly dropped during the launch show when Chelsee uttered the immortal words 'I'm single - and ready to mingle!' *shudders at memory* But she has won me round by being refreshingly open and honest; she is a natural dancer; and it doesn't hurt that Pasha is a cutie.

They're so good together, great working partnership without silly lovey-dovey bits getting in the way. I really hope they do well.

Its strange I found myself rooting for her before her Waltz with Pasha. Go on Chelsee! You're doing great.

Well said. They are my favourites couples on this show and I absolutely love their partnership.
A couple made in dancing heaven.

Chelsee is a litle darling, really didn't think I would be keen on her but she won me over with her fabulous dancing and lovely personality.

I hated her on the launch show & wanted her out first but now I love her.
She has such natural talent & her partnership with Pasha is fantastic.

Chelsee manages to have the combination of young, fun, ditzy female with a fabulous work ethic. You go girl!

Chelsee is a big threat to Jason, especially if she manages to go for the sympathy vote again with another wardrobe malfunction.

There were signs in the first group dance.

Edwina bumped into Chelsee during the dance and Chelsee was able to have a joke with her and catch back up to the routine to slot in perfectly with Vincent. She also seemed to have learned a different dance from the others, but it looked like a bit of ad-libbing by Chelsee to make the dance look better. You can see when she is on the dancefloor that she just loves to dance. Her dancing shows her personality, and is gaining her a lot of supporters.

I saw her on the launch show and she scared me slightly; but when she came aht in the first week she really surprised me. Her and Pasha are great together and she is improving every week. She is definately my favourite and I hope she gets to concentrate more on the dancing and less on filming waterloo road.

No, she is threat to Jason because she is dancing well, has a fun personality and has great teamwork and chemistry with her pro.

I might have known there would be at least one fly in the ointment

Anyhow, I think Chesee is great. I admit that I thought she was going to get on my nerves but I was impressed with her from week 1. I think she has been so lucky to be paired with Pasha as he has shown himself to be a great teacher and choreographer; able to tame her lack of concentration without knocking back her sense of fun. They have a great relationship. Pasha's choreography has been great at balancing the mix of proper dance steps and entertainment. He's put in a few dance figures that I haven't seen on SCD in a very long time. I hope Chelsee gets a respite from her Waterloo Road filming schedule because with more hours to train in a week she could be amazing.
