To be honest, I find him really cocky, he thinks he's the best.

All his comments about 'camping it up' etc seem so fake, especially after he went after a magazine for calling him gay years ago, yet he seems quite keen to play the camp card at every opportunity.

I think he's a fake and way too desperate for attention.

Thank goodness the judges are now seeing him for what he is.
He is as watchable as a sinkful of dirty dishes

I'm not a Jason fan whatsoever but really liked his dance tonight. Kristina looked STUNNING - great choreography (as per) and he danced it well. Better than his other weeks, for me.

I think his acting almost let him down in some ways....he acts the role well, but you can tell he's acting! So it's all a little bit fake!

Very very true I think (and so thinks my mum!). He does think he's the best, and he is desperate for attention and desperate to win, IMO! But I think, 'eau de desperation' never wafts well with the Strictly viewers, and may prove his undoing! Have you seen the way he tries to camera-hog behind Tess in every shot on the balcony when the other contestants are being spoken too?He makes sure he's in the line of vision- even if it means pushing Audley out of the way? ( Pity anyone who gets his spot!!) And he so, so, so can't take criticsm- he tries to talk back at the judges!
Ugh. I think the title 'Disgusting Donovan' form last week's ITT slot ought to stick too.
IMO!

I really don't think he's as bad as people are making out.
He's still one of the best dancers this years along with Chelsee, Harry and Holly

Im bored of Jason already.

I did generally like him, I liked him on Im a celebrity and on various chat shows he's been on, but he is coming across as very false and very arrogant.

I think he is going to suffer from 'being too good to start with' syndrome. His tango was amazing and since then its been all downhill.

And I actually get the impression Kristina is going off him. I find a lot of their intial chemistry has gone and that Kristina acts very falsley toward him.

I think the public will tire of him, especially since I see Chelsee coming thru as unpredicted star, and the woman will go more for Harry in the looks department IMO, and Russell has better entertainment quality.

I agree he is still one of the best dancers on this year's show (which I don't think is saying that much) but that doesn't make him interesting. As soon as he speaks I just cringe, it's all so false.

I don't think he's ever forgotten that period of his life. He went from rumours saying he was gay to rumours saying he was homophobic. He's always made a point that he didn't sue that mag because they said he was gay, but because they were calling him a liar. But it did coincide - concidentally or not - with his slide in his popularity.

Jason just can't win ! I think he is a very genuine human being who is using his acting skills to make the dances more interesting, as is Anita, another decent person. Good luck to the pair of them.

Was a fan but I am now not sure if he is lacking in confidence or has no personality. I think he needs to be a bit more humble instead of keeping saying, I loved that dance, when clearly he was rubbish at it, also inject some humour into your conversation, personality goes a long way with the public.

At least Christina has figured out anything he's going to say is going to be deadly boring so she immediately shuts him down after about three words. He seriously needs to share less.

I agree. When I watch his rumba and you see how he is taking the criticism from judges. I think he is a bit too fake.

Jason was terrible tonight - big cheesy grins do not do the rhumba any favours, he looked so awkward. I thought the scores were fair but I think some other contestants were seriously overmarked.

He is obviously a good dancer and I know he is a good person....but I can't quite put my finger on it, I cannot warm to him at all in Strictly and I have always been a fan, saw him in 1989 at the Brighton Centre! When he talks, it's so serious and dull, I wish he would lighten up. He won't win this imo, it's a strong line up this year with Holly, Harry and Chelsea and they are all having 'journeys' that the public love so much.

Well we cant all like the same thing, now that would be boring, but as for Jason............nope....not bored at all, loving him as always, a decent human being who is a little too serious at times which can come across as desperation I suppose, but he has always been the same so I neither expect or want him to change, not one iota.

Thought he was a decent fella before this show, and still do, but he's taking it far to serious. His little chats after his dances are dull as dishwater.

He was over marked from the beginning, and there was only one way to go after that.

I was thinking the same thing, although it's not good forum etiquette to point out people's grammatical or spelling errors (or Peeve the Pedant would post nothing else ).

Actually, I have given up cringing every time I hear or read 'bored of' instead of the correct 'bored with', because it has pretty much taken over as the preferred expression. Even BBC presenters are using it - I gave up the unequal battle when Gareth Malone said 'bored of' in some programme or another.

Anyhoo, back on topic, Jason is okay, IF he just sticks to dancing and doesn't talk at all, at which point my brain switches off. I'm afraid it takes more than dancing ability to win this competition and, without a personality transplant, I don't think he will be able to persuade people to pick up the phone to vote for him, or at least not in sufficient numbers to win.
