Looking at our show compared to the US show we hardly ever vote off the worst dancer each week. Whereas in the US the lowest scorer is in real danger of getting eliminated.

Anyone else annoyed by this.

Maybe it's the British liking of the underdog, whereas the US is more about success?

I think that we do tend to vote out one of the lowest scorers but when there are more couples how memorable and entertaining something is seems to play a part and really I would rather have someone like Russell still in than someone like Alex who I don;t look forward to seeing each week

I only get fed up when the likes of Nancy D and Ann W are kept in. But this week Russell is bottom of the leaderboard and I'd sooner see Alex or Lulu go this week. I'd rather have Russell in longer than Robbie, Audley and Anita too

American audiences don't "get" our attitude of "loving the underdog".

British audiences don't "get" the attitude of "all or nothing".


If Russell went in week 1, Nancy in week 2, Lulu in week 3, Audley in Week 4 and Rory in Week 5, we'd have scores of threads on here moaning that "It's too boring, there's no light relief/Widdy type character"

Remember too, it's about mathematics as well as phone voting. At this point in the contest, you can probably work out the audience votes....
