Tulisa's repeated rallying of the girly vote for Little Mix is a bit cringeworthy

It's a great tactic - positioning them as the girls next door so that tweeny girls will look up to them rather than hate them. But it's just so transparent and hammered home to us week after week - "the ladies' favourites"... "representing girls across the UK"... I don't know, I sort of feel like the band's image and music should articulate this without Tulisa having to spell it out in a desperate scrounge for votes every week.

It's getting very tedious. They most certainly do not represent me.

I know they do not represent girls everywhere! just a way of getting votes obviously! They did ok today, expected better!

yeah but they all do it - various levels of crap, all of manchester vote for Mischa, etc. Utter rubbish. Should be a talent thang not a biggest town moronic rally thang.

It's quite patronising the way she speaks about them.

Tulisa and Louis are the main culprits at doing this! anything to rally some votes though i guess

I'm waiting for her to say they "represent girls all over the UK including fatties", cause that's what last weeks VT with Jessy having a cry felt like- "Look women of Britain they're not perfect, your boyfriends are safe"!

Not one them represent any of the teenage girls I know.

It's a dog whistle for saying they represent girls who are less attractive than pop stars like Tulisa. Which is nonsense of course.

I think tonight Louis was genuinely trying to do Misha a favour saying she deserved home town support from Manchester. It was said in a more knowing tone than when he does it as a gormless shtick.

Louis to his credit is rallying behind the stronger singers because he sees the show badly needs to keep them right now. He has a lot more weight on the panel than the new hires because he understands television and management better than they do. His comedy routines are more valuable than the others realise too. Simon needed him as a foil and he played the role well. The three pop singers still have a lot to learn from him and it would be a shame if they don't understand that.

So much for girl power. All she was doing was trying to help her acts.
