BiB: Exactly. He couldn't have gone along the same route as he did last week because it was Dance Song Week. I think Johnny did really well and I hope he stays in this week. I'd love to know what song Gary would have given Johnny.

I also noticed with Gary tonight - he keeps saying how this is a singing competition and that it's all about the voice. Whereas with Frankie's VT, he said that it's not just about the voice. That sounds very hypocritical.

Gary Barlow is trying far too hard to be Simon Cowell:
- Contradicting himself (as with the above example)
- Being Mr Nasty with his comments
- The looking over to one side and smiling when an act performed well in their first audition
- Having the "Mr Cool Alpha Male" persona
- Ridiculing Louis at every given opportunity

I think it was quite obvious this week that Barlow had selected acts he intended to 'throw under a bus' (I hate that phrase, but it's the easiest way of illustrating what he was up to).

The judges cant seem to win this year ”

Hving watched the performances a second time, Kitty stole the show tonight, the amount of dancing she did was minute, I think Gary might be a little worried, and had to give a dig, but said her vocals were great, and he loved her performance. Nothing wrong with that critique, oh and I love Louis.

I thought his little pop at Alexandra was a bit unnecessary. He was rude to her last week too. A bit petty really.

Hmm I do like that he's not sycophantic and a lot of time I do agree with his points, but I do find it hypocritical that he is blunt and honest about other acts but not his own, lying about Frankie has killed a lot of my respect for him. I do think he can be too harsh, anyone noticed he's sometimes so stony faced he doesn't even bother applauding some acts? Did Simon ever do that?

like gary when the auditions was on but now he is on live shows going off him some of his comments are right but some are harsh don't remember simon being that bad

I've made this comment on here before!! All the ladies love him but he has a very nasty streak!! Don't know why people don't see it!!

I wouldn't mind Gary being "harsh" if his criticism was an honest breath of fresh air/intelligent or helped the show in any way. Sometimes harsh critique can be laced with humour or give a judge an air of authority. But with Barlow, he has no charisma or humour, and his criticism isn't remotely helpful or interesting. He lies about his own acts, gushes about dreadful performances, and then says the odd really out of place vicious little remark for no reason. He's a pathetic, insincere, crawly little moron.

Oh, dear. A lie down in a darken room would soon calm you down and save your teeth.

All the ladies love him, so you claim, but now of the ladies living near like him one little bit. One lady in particular had a few choice words to say about Gary when I was talking to her this morning. Another called him a little scroat.

Just like he is sugar coating Frankie?

I think he is hamming it up trying to be Cowell, but it just comes across very awkward. Like when someone tells an offensive joke to be funny and people start leaving in disgust. Awkward.

Just to be clear cause I'm genuinely confused.....Gary/Kelly are the Satan/Consort of the piece and Louis/Tulisa the poor innocent victims?

Hmm...all i can see is the only credible people on that panel are Gary/Kelly who seem to be genuinely trying to judge/mentor.

Gary's getting a lot of flack for putting Frankie through...But the damage is done now...He's in the competition now and has to sing every week...What's he supposed to do...Not support him

you'd be ripping into him too if he didn't....While the rest of the judges tear Frankie to shreds in front of millions of viewers...Gary's the only one thats giving him much needed confidence...Please don't tell me you buy his shagging/jack the lad bravado?...It's a front that the producers are exploiting....At the end of the day he's a kid in a highly stressful environment who week by week is getting more depressed...There's only 1 judge who's trying to keep him together...Would you rather all 4 rip into him?

Gary isn't as honest as he claims to be - He has lost all credibility.

I know Frankie is Gary's act and of course I would expect him to support his own act, but he goes too far. He admitted he lied about Frankie, and never constructively criticises dreadful performances even, and says insulting things to Louis, Sami and Kitty (eg) for no reason.

Gary's career came to a holt when Robbie left TT...And Robbie then became huge as a soloist, while Gary was a joke...I remember in the BBC show one contestant was compared to Gary Barlow, which meant could sing but lacked charisma, for a solo artist. The reunion went well but went huge once Robbie joined because that is who everyone wanted to see....He has lied to Frankie since the beginning and has set him up to fall this week.

To be fair...He's the only only one who did...The other judges just....Lie!!!

Hes not nasty at all - just not very good at reading his script.

So unconvincing to me,. Its all written for him as its a live show and they need to finish on time, but get news headlines etc etc
