Prayers go out to him, he's very positive about it and says he can over come it, really hope he can.

Been listening to 'Most Wonderful Time Of The Year' loads lately with Christmas coming up, sensational artist with such an amazing voice.

Cancer has nothing to do with age.
It’s unusual for anyone under the age of 40 to get bladder cancer, but it becomes more common as people get older.

Well that's ok then isn't it, if he's old it's fine he has cancer. Who cares?

There really are some insensitive people on this forum.

For recording Music to Watch Girls By and that dreadful TV series in the 60s, he deserves worse!

He obviously meant that as he's getting on in years, cancer is fairly likely. This isn't insensitive, it's a fact. I'm pretty sure something like 1 in 3 OAPs get cancer.

Get well soon Andy.

thats not the point

the point is that its to be expected that an ever ageing person is likely to get something wrong with them.

my sympathies go out to kids with cancer... now that is something to get wound up about. andy williams must be in his 80's, its sad but if the end comes hes had a good innings and will leave a respectable legacy.

hasnt it? surely the older you are the more likely you will get it. im certain more old people get it then young.

my doctor told me that 'most men have postate cancer when they die' its just that they often die before the cancer kills them.

It doesn't matter what your age is, to have cancer is pretty terrifying, and I'm speaking from personal experience.

I hope the treatment goes well for him.

Although not really a fan i have none of his music,i do remember him for his TV appearances on shows, and his music is easy listening for the people that liked that,i do like a couple of his numbers though.

I hope his last days are comfortable he has given pleasure to many people.

Reports seem to be confusing - this is what Wikipedia says about his situation:

"On July 19, 2012, Williams's theater announced that Andy Williams had returned to Branson following cancer treatment and is "in good spirits and getting stronger every day" and plans to take the stage as scheduled in September.[18]"

Tried to check the link they give but the page can't be found...So maybe the Express article is right after all
