Who's Matt Flint?

Made me remember why I like Bruce so much. In his heyday no one could beat him for rapport with the audience, and he was a past master at 'thinking on his feet'.

Yes, he's slowed down a bit but he's so much better than the autocue robot we see nowadays. He's an entertainer to his fingertips - just wish the producers would let him do what he does best.

He won So You Think You Can Dance and has choreographed some of the group dances this series.

This is completely off topic but after looking at the video I went on "the team" and read some of the bios... interestingly Len once specialised in a style of ballroom called Exhibition which is all about lifts... Who'da thunk?

And check out Alesha's hideous dress at the bottom of the page!!

Bruce is just so excellent when left to his own resources. We were in stitches a few weeks ago when Tess chirped, "Back to you, BRUCE! (last word LOUD), and Bruce responded, "Thank you, TESS!" (last word even LOUDER).
He was made for improvisation, and it's that autocue that makes him look "doddery".

You'll like him, I think.

He should be able to slot in easily, since I believe he choreographed the number we'll see tonight.

For those who didn't watch SYTYCD, here's Matt dancing on the US version. All three dancers are excellent in different ways. Love it.

Ooh I thought I recognised that name.

He is fabulous, looking forward to seeing him.

Agree, I found this funny too! Also when Tess says "Back to you Brucie" and Bruce says "Thank you Tessie"

I must admit I wasn't a fan but thanks to these insights, I'm starting to see Bruce in a new light.

He certainly seems to have more spontaneity in his little finger than Tess will ever have in her whole body.

Tess is better at reading from the autocue than Brucie, but you can bet your bottom dollar that if everything went wrong it would be him that saved the day.

Instead of letting her get on with her job - stupid man!

In my distant youth I worked on the Generation Game when Bruce was presenting. Obviously it was recorded but when allowed to work "loose" and interact with people he was, and still is by all accounts brilliant.

I think is is not used as well as he could be on SCD, but in these days of compliance where everybody is scared to take a risk there is no way he, or anybody else would be allowed to work that way.
