God I hope Frankie goes, why is Misha B so far down? she was by far one of the best last night.

I guess some people liked her cold, tough approach? Who knows.

I disagree that Kitty will be in the bottom 2 [yet alone 4], though.

Think it'll be Frankie / Johnny / Janet / Little Mix myself [with Frankie and Johnny going].

Er, what? Yes, they have been right. They were correct with Nu Vibe and Sophie. They only got it wrong once with the eliminations in the week Sami went - but even then her odds had been shortening all day and before lines closed to which she overtook Frankie.

What do you mean they've not been right? Betting shops do not claim that the person with the worst odds are gonna go (they're not psychic) that is just who most people are betting on

Because she's quite frankly average and disliked by the country. I personally hope she's our shock exit tonight so she can get on getting her flight to the states.

The odds will be right. Bookies know what they are doing.

The odds will reflect betting patterns on the candidates.

Even if the odds had Marcus as odds on favourite to go they would still be right. What you have to do is look for value in them.

The bookies only ever get the odds wrong if they lose money.

the one that sticks out to me is janet devlin - she was among the 3 worst singers last night yet the price on her going is quite long.

i wonder to what extent the betting comes from people who know the voting patterns over the last weeks.

I wonder if Louis could end up actless by the end of this evening...

His words to Frankie will probablt cause a mass sympathy vote for him which will probably mean Kitty or Johnny will go out being bottom of the vote and the other being in the bottom 2.

I would love to know that one too. Mind you checking on Betfairs market there is very very little money currently punted on the X Factor at the moment.

More money was punted on the ZImbabwe-New Zealand test yesterday.

Probably because she's as likable as Frankie. Far better singer, maybe the best singer on the show, but the show is the X Factor - likability is a key ingredient, not the ability to make people cross the road to avoid passing close to her in the street.

People know that a contestant as hyped as Janet will have garnered enough of a fanbase to mean that she has to give quite a few bad performances or eat a baby live on stage before she is in danger of elimination.

because she was bottom2 last week. and this is an unpredictable week as there's a bottom3 which makes me people weary that somebody who has been in the B2 before could end up in the bottom3 - people are just covering themselves incase she ended up there again even though there is little chance of her going.

Damn I dont want Kitty or Johnny to go yet. hoped Kitty at least would have been higher...

I would have Johnny as favourite to be fair, he'll need a miracle to survive tonight.

God, I really hope Misha isn't bottom of the voting.

Marcus and Little Mix aren't enough to keep me watching. I'd be tempted to switch off, especially with the judges being truly awful at the moment.

surprised there is no "to be eliminated tonight" market combining both the 8th and 9th eliminations

by the way a bottom 3 of Johnny, Kitty and Frankie is 4.0/4.5

I really don't think that is likely

Some of those odds make no sense. I undestand Marcus doing well, but Craig? Really? And the obviously flagging Risk still being up there?

A lot of the betting on Frankie, Kitty and Misha is simply because they have already hit the bottom in the show, so they are vulnerable. I think some of the others are more vulnerable than the odds suggest. I don't think there's much in it, there's not an obvious winner of the show this year.
