My little hamster
Lastlaugh

My little chinese hamster is really unwell. Cold, breathing weirdly, not eating or drinking, not moving. I'm trying to warm her up in a sock and using gloves to cooch her.

Has anyone been in this situation before? I hate to say it, but I'm pretty sure she is dying

I just want to make her as comfortable as possible, any tips? I'm not sure what else to do apart from warm her up. I was doing this last night and she started running around a bit.

Hamsters are funny little creatures, they can go like this. They do tend to go quiet towards the end. I remember my first hamster was like that (he was Russian but we've had all types), he went all quiet and I cwtched him in to keep him warm and he let out a little squeak and died right there in my hands. It was as if he was saying bye.

Just keep her warm and see what happens.

Thank you for replying. I just wish there was some miracle thing I could do.

Thanks. I'll keep cwtching.

Poor little thing How long have you had her, because they tend to die in their third winter.
