Congrats. Sales were close all week so it'll be interesting to see how far apart the top 4 are sales wise.

I find it interesting now how many artists adopt this strategy now of releasing more than one song before an album release, a lot of young acts especially, like JLS, Cher, The Wanted (I think they have had 3 singles pre album release), Pixie Lott, Olly Murs etc
To me it seems a better stategy because fans will then buy the 2nd single because they don't already have it on an album and it gives others more scope to assess whether they want to buy into the artist's album or not, for me unless its an album of an artist I already buy into, I need to hear a good 2/3 singles before I consider buying the album. In Cher's case I'm sure she will have a lot more people interested in buying the album now then she would have if it was released solely on the back of Swagger Jagger.

The days of just one lead single then an album release seem to be a thing of the past now even though one was ineligible to chart and one was a buzz single, both Coldplay and Florences released on the back of two singles too.

Obviously anyone who get tracks that ARE already available to buy on albums are doing well like Katy Perry demonstrated. It's quite rare now for third and fourth singles to chart highly

She actually sold more on no 4 then she did with her no 1.
but With UR Love’s eventual debut at number four was attended by higher sales than her debut, Swagger Jagger, sold when it entered at number one 12 weeks ago – 74,030 against 66,316.

I think you'll find Cher Lloyd did, not Cher.

Cher is a global megastar who is still going strong after 40-odd years of performing in the entertainment industry, and who continues to this day to sell out shows in Vegas like nobody's business. The other is a talentless little chav girl enjoying her fifteen minutes who will be dropped the moment the next batch get around to recording their overproduced animal-screechings. If you think the latter is more worthy of being the one decisively known as 'Cher', well, you're wrong.

Regardless though it is incorrect to simply refer to Cher Lloyd as Cher. If she tried to release music under that moniker she would have had a lawsuit on her hands. So yeah she should be referred to her by her full name really to avoid confusion, THE Cher is a musical legend, Cher Lloyd is only just starting out

If anything, it proves what some people have been saying for a long time. An X-Factor performance does not guarantee you a number one. Nicole Sherzinger came in at 18.

Indeed ! 'Believe' it or not,Cher did have her own TV show in the 1960s (The Sonny & Cher Show) before she started having hits in the UK.So technically..yes.

I very much doubt Cher Lloyd will still be releasing songs when she's in her 40s.

Just another X Factor-piggybacker, using her 15 minutes while she's still got them. Credit to her though - she seems to have managed to get a load of silly people all wound up and annoyed about her, so she's playing the game well.

Well, there were two weak performances, weren't they? Scherzinger was a Total disaster and Cher Lloyd couldn't get her voice tuned right during a performance when, wrapped up like a Quality Street, she hardly moves...What "good2" invention this autotune - or whatever the other software is called - is for all these novelty acts and pop tarts dominating the charts at the moment...Slightly off topic at the end I know!?

At least she didn't get to #1 and start a riot like last time. #4 is waaaaaaaay to high for such a childish song.
