Twitter says it was Matt Flint and yes think he's off of SYTYCD.

Yes, twas Matt Flint, winner of SYTYCD UK - he has been doing some choreography on Strictly.

Yeah, he did really good as well imo. I wonder if there will be a spot for him on Strictly in the next few years. Can't say I was rooting for him on SYTYCD, but I liked him tonight.

Matt was brilliant but what exactly has happened to Artem?

I thought he was good, is he trained in latin/ballroom at all? I thought he just did Tap

I don't remember specifics, but apparently he has trained in lots of areas of dance and performance.

If he's already doing choreo for them, and they pick up on the good reaction he's had tonight, then I'd say there's definitely a place for him as a future Strictly pro, don'tcha think?

He's lovely, and is a great soloist, but he's quite short! He is, however, already a seasoned teacher so he might work for a short, young celeb.

Artem did an injury on his back during Sat rehearsals, so pulled out of the Pro routine.

He would be a great addition to SCD. Get rid of Anton and have Matt instead, he's a great dancer and a very likeable person.

Matt went to laine theatre arts so he would have done, ballet, tap, contemporary, jazz, drama and probably signing. I wouldn't have thought he had done any ballroom. If this is the case I doubt he could become one of the profs. He teaches dance in dance colleges so if he is on contract to do that he may have a problem being released too.

Oops, I hadn't thought of the ballroom angle. Did Jared have a ballroom backgound though?

Don't think Matt Flint was as good as the other pros. His gyrating was rather ugly and he's too short and stocky to be an elegant dancer.

Thank you for posting that, I'd forgotten how good some of the dancers were on SYTYCD. Also makes me really realise just how bad some of the Strictly celebs are!

Has SYTYCD really been cancelled? What a bloody shame. All the more reason why Graham Norton should take over Brucie's job then!

If you compare his build, yes it is different to the profs tonight. They are prof ballroom/ latin dancers - Matt isn't. He is great at what he does in the genres he is trained and experienced in - but its not ballroom or latin and thats why in my opinion he will not become a strictly prof.

just because someone isn't tall doesn't mean to say they can't be an elegant dancer - sometimes being tall makes it harder the be a dancer

Much as I love Matt Flint and I think he's an amazing dancer, I can't see him becoming an SCD pro simply because his background isn't in ballroom/latin. However, it wouldn't surprise me if they don't use him for choreography more as he has a real talent for that.

I don't know why the OP didn't know it was Matt as Claudia announced it when she was speaking to Artem in the Tessanine!

Although I didn't originally like Matt on SYTYCD I did take to him as the series went on. Strangely, I didn't recognise him at all this evening. And unfortunately, I didn't like his performance. I felt he exaggerated his movements and his face was too manic. But mostly, he was not masculine enough. He would not be a good addition to the lineup.

Heck,the guy was there as assistant choreographer, not to be on live TV...from what I've seen he's worthy & able...cut him a bit of slack...he jumped in when Artem was injured & did a great job...noticably the beeb did not show his face...sad really as they made him a star in the first place!!

I saw his face - almost as much as the rest of them. I thought he was very masculine and danced very well.

But - how did he fit into Artem's outfit? Surely Matt is shorter and broader than him?
