Even more impressive is that he got no rehearsal at all (Matt said as much on his Facebook page) - so it was all very last minute.

I thought they showed his face plenty of times and he held his own with the other more experienced dancers.

Rather than have to sit through Westlife they should have let Matt do one of his amazing tap routines ... much better

yes but that would have been too much competition for Brucie - he is a tapper - or so he thinks

Good grief - it must have been a very low standard of competition because his ballroom was atrocious. His Latin was better but still wasn't great.

But the title 'champion' doesn't always mean a lot - I know a pro couple who run their own school who use the title " ***** Professional Latin Champions" in their advertising. What they don't say is that they won because they were the only couple who entered!

I recognised him straight away (couldn't place the name when Claudia said it). Thought he was great, and that his gyrating was the best actually.

But it was a different type of gyrating - more pronounced, less elegant - as he is a modern dancer, and the others are classically trained in latin & ballroom.

He and Mandy Moore, the choreographer he was assisting, were choreographing a select number of dances - the more contemporary ones.

He wouldn't be a good choice to be a Strictly Pro because he's doesn't have the right dance specialisms.

But I'd like them to give him a solo dance spot now and then!
