I've never been one who views Big Brother as some kind of morality test, where this or that "kind of person" shouldn't win a game where the object is to stab each other in the back.

It's light entertainment - disposable rubbish - and whoever keeps me interested, for whatever reason, is who I'll support.

However, I would feel disappointed if, as has been suggested, Aaron really doesn't give a shit about Faye, as she seems to be a sweet girl and, although the show may be a bit of a lark, the people involved are still human. It's one thing to return to the real world feeling a bit silly having been outsmarted in a game, double-crossed in a contest, but quite another to be publicly humiliated by having your feelings ruthlessly exploited in the name of sport.

That's assuming Faye's feelings are genuine, of course.

Aaron's been a great housemate, but his "legacy" would certainly be tarnished if he has merely strung Faye along for his own benefit in the show. Play the game all you like, but, come on, not at all costs. There's more to life than BB.

And, I would hope there's more to Aaron's character than just doing anything to win BB.

Possibly, but when he said "I can't believe me best friend said........on tv" he didn't say "Can't believe my friend joked around on tv or something like that.

But the fact is his friend doesn't appear to have been joking.

The other question is, I do wonder what sort of a relationship Aaron has with this friend. Best friends can take on a lot of guises. Christ I'm so confused.

I think you're looking at things too deeply. Whilst his "friend" was talking he was visably shocked and shaking his head in disbelief. However the show moved on so quickly that I bet he only had a chance to think or voice his opinion about what is friend said after the show finished (albeit cut off by Louise pdq - she does have a habit of turning any conversation round to her )

It certainly hasn't made me like him any less. Perhaps its raised some questions in my mind but I am prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt until the show finishes.

I will continue to vote and will do so until the very end, whether thats tonight or tomorrow.

I cant believe you are letting that get to you, Aaron has no idea whats going on in the outside world, he just thinks hes friend was given banter, I dont think for a min that he thinks people will take it series. There is no way hes playing Faye shes said that, you should trust her.

FFS this is the man how gave up his law career to look after his disabled wife and she stated in many interviews that he look after their son when she was unable to.

I feel bad for him, it was his dream to go on BB, he achieved it and since he has been on his name has been dragged through the mud time and time again. When he comes out and relises what people have been saying and i bet he will wish he never went on in the first place.

Of course he won't go tonight. If it were vote to evict - maybe. But in a vote to save even the most rabid Aaron-haters won't be able to organise themselves in a 4-way voting spread to ensure each and every one of the others has more votes than Aaron - no way.

I'm not quite so certain about the win - but I am [i]pretty[/I certain! so much so I made my first bet of a lifetime yesterday on Aaron for the win. I think he's probably got the only large enough fanbase to pull it off. Alex? never (nice girl that she is, she just won't inspire fanatical support). Jay? well if Jay wins I'm leaving the country. The others? can't see anyone voting for them at all except in a weak anti-Aaron sort of protest.

Aaron deserves the win by far; I wish he had done less of the moody thing if only for his own chances' sake, but he's been Big Brother this year, and seems an upright, intelligent, principled sort of guy. As well as funny and perceptive.

I can't deny, I'm feeling more confused about Aaron than ever right now. It's not just this thing with his friend either. That said, I'm still 100% behind him of course. It's been his year.

I just want to get on with seeing his interview now. There are so many questions to be answered.

I agree. I think we have to remember that they all will have got a lot of positive feedback from last night's show. Seeing clips of themselves, people clapping them and laughing at things they've done. They will all have been on a high afterwards, he probably barely took it all in.

Also, as it's not the first time he's heard these allegations against him, maybe he already feels prepared for what's coming. And as I said last night, I do actually feel that it's a good thing that he's been made aware that this issue is still 'out there', so he's ready for the questions.

I do think you are confusing your self more than what was said confuses you.How can this friend even be taken seriously if you read his FB.Aaron doesnt know what is going on outside he cant say his friend was 'joking'.The friend doesnt know more about Aaron and Faye than viewers.If there is a consolation a member of the audience who has no history with Aaron said they were the most genuine couple.

I agree,Faye and Aaron in particular got alot of positive feedback last night.Emma called him a cracking housemate and audience clapped for them.Jay and Louise got off worse leaving Louise utterly shocked.He is in a better position for his exit interview.I cant honestly understand people over dwelling on the friend.

Aaron's odds for eviction tonight have gone right out to 133/10 on betfair, with Jay closing in to 64/5. That's quite a big turn around.

Fairly inconsequential as far as tonight's eviction really as neither of those two were ever going to go first, but it's encouraging as far as Aaron having some momentum at least.

At the risk of being shot down, can we try to look at the positives on here?

We've got 36hrs to go, let's enjoy them by appreciating what a great housemate Aaron's been and try out hardest to push him over the winning line.

You've got to remember that Aaron's got no idea what's been going on outside. He doesn't know that what his friend says is a common perception in the outside world, he's not got the same frames of reference as you have. After the show he seemed a little unsettled but not overly concerned by it al, do you really think he'd have been like that f he knew what you know?

Is he. Well that makes sense of one of the comments on his FB page to the effect 'have you gone off Aaron since he dropped you'.

I understand your confusion as it doesn't make sense. If Aaron was playing a game and the friend had outed him then surely he would have been really upset?? The only logical explanation for now is that Aaron thought the friend was joking and that we would all get the joke. I'm believing that for now but REALLY hoping that tonight's show clarifies it in some way.
