Re the desmond thing - alex sibley has tweeted that he understood that if they did not sign then they did not go on the show - but don't know if that is true.
things with a contract like this is if it can be proved to be unreasonable then he would be able to get out of it in any case (as they all would) and would imagine he would know that anyway. One of the articles in ECHR is a right to work and as such you could argue that forcing someone to sign a contract with a particular agency before allowing them appear on a TV show which is linked to that agency, and tying them in for ten years is unreasonable. I think with the right legal team behind you you could break that contract quite easily.
It is also not that difficult to buy yourself out of a contract - particularly if you are earning decent money.
If aaron hasn't signed with them then it could explain why they don't want him to win.
