Why? Did a few scrotes take advantage of the mass exodus to nip in a nick it?

Well to be fair it wouldn't have taken very long, and with everyone else otherwise engaged on Glasgow Green, it was the perfect opportunity!

That's what I thought. I guess we can expect the Stone of Scone to turn up on Ebay any day now.

A public enquiry has started. Scottish scientists are considering ways to travel back in time to persuade Mr Fawkes that 'May is a much better time'.
Excellent.

Nah, they're too busy trying to work out how to batter and deep fry a glass of scotch without the glass melting.

A highland fling surely. Tossing a caber and eating haggis while wearing a kilt with nothing under it. Watching fireworks.

Last edited by tabithakitten : 06-11-2011 at 23:35. Reason: sounded like haggis was wearing the kilt

I know Lulu likes her men a lot younger but I feel really nauseous now. I don't think Brendan would go near her with James'.

And I don't know how many times I've told Brendan about tossing his caber in public!

I know but he had something to celebrate bless him. And let's face it, no Scots would have been around to see him - they're still making their way back from Glasgow.

The Scottish public never got a chance to vote as they were all out at the Glasgow Green Firework Display.Thats all I am trying to say.
Must be a bit boring having all the fireworks coloured green. Perhaps got a job lot cheap in Lidl.

They're going to be in mourning when they get home. A whole nation devastated. One minute there's 6 million of you on a green in Glasgow enjoying fireworks and no burgers, next there's a national disaster. How will they ever recover? The grief will be immense, we need to help them all through it!

later in the evening we're drinking Buckie
I think the residents of Buckie are quite capable of drinking the town dry on their own.

Its well known that the Scots all celebrate Guy Fawks night as second only to the great Rabbie Burns night. We take it very serous as we know what it was about

The rest of the UK tends to just take it as an excuse to eat loads of burgers off made from the bonfire and barbecues

This is why the Lulu fans couldn't get to the phone

Also I know of many fans who did not realsie the voting was only going to be on for 20 mins last night. The Glasgow Branch of the Lulu fan club was at the Glasgow Green fireworks party and wasnt aware that the voting was finishing early last night

This is not on BBC.Very unfair

The Glasgow branch?
You mean, there are other branches?

Surley even you can see how that is unfair on Scotlands Treasure?
Do Scottish people not have mobile phones? If Scotland were supporting Lulu so passionately, as you claimed a couple of weeks ago, they could have voted for her regardless of whether they watched or not. The voting numbers don't change every week like on X Factor.

I think someone's just a little disappointed that their Scottish crusade has failed for another year. Trying to blame the BBC for that is not even worth a moment of my attention.

Its a shame that in one of Scotland's most important days of the year Guys Fawks night the majority of Scotland was at Bonfire parties and therefore never got a chance to save Scotland's Treasure

Shame on you BBC for putting SCD on in a day when you know a whole country wont be in to vote

I think this is a disgrace and demand a re-count

They new that Lulu supporters would be out last night yet still carried on with the show regardless

Gutted
I have to presume that this is not serious

Guy Fawkes is celebrated south of the border too, you know.

They were so mesmerised by them newfangled firework thingies that they forgot all about the botoxed song strangler.

Time travelling Scottish scientists latest :

Fawkes has agreed to move to mid-October to avoid clash with Diwali but no further. The Scots are fighting Lulus corner but will concede to June / July if necessary.

More news when we have it.

Poor Audley and Natalie again!
Most top boxers earn millions, surely they can afford to whack the redial button loads of times. I'm glad he's still in it though I think he needs tio put more ooommphh into his moves generally, take a leaf out of Robbie's book. Robbie started off very dissapointingly and then he started to deliver on the potential he seemed to have from when the stars where first revealed.

I would never call Bonfire/Guy Fawkes night a holiday wherever I lived. I'm glad when it's over!

Anyway the Scots already have Hogmanay and Rabbie Burns' Night - why should they get another holiday?

Very funny OP, I actually think some people took you serioulsy.

Actually I don't think the Scots like Lulu much, my husband is Scottish and a few years older than Lulu and he says she was never very well liked.
