I agree - it was incredibly rude and ungracious of Lulu. Both my mum and I noticed there was no thank-you, and she wouldn't even make eye contact with him. The way she danced off on her own, doing her own thing, shows how self-centred she is. There was no love lost between those two! Brendan must be glad to see the back of her. ITT will indeed be interesting!
Good riddance to her!

Really wanted to like Lulu because as far as I'm concerned the longer Brendan's in the competition, the better! However, I was getting more and more uncomfortable voting for them, and Lulu's attitude last night just confirmed what I was thinking...
It's annoyed me that the BBC have their set roles for everyone, but I think people saw more of the real Brendan this series and hopefully there'll be lots more occasions on which to do so! When you meet him at shows etc, he's always charming and very willing to take the time to chat etc - looking forward to his new tour after Christmas!

Lulu appeared for a short stint as a judge on one of the TV reality singing shows a few years ago. I was shocked - she was entirely charmless, totally self-obsessed, and missed the tone of the thing completely.

Same performance in this series, and particularly on Sunday. Poor show.

Brendan by contrast has come over as a class act.

I was surprised when Tess had to remind Lulu to mention Brendan. She WAS JOKING when she said that Brendan would properly be happy NOT to have to see her on Monday! I thought her dancing away from him was very disrespectful. Sometimes I find all the positive comments about SCD from the leaving contestant a bit sickening to watch. All that nonsense about how they will keep dancing, how they loved their time on SCD, loved their partners etc.... PUKE Typical showbusiness but Lulu could have been polite! I used to adore her until I read her biography and it was all me,me and more me even to the cost of her marriages and her relationship with her son who eventually told her as a teenager he wanted to live in the USA with his father!!! She is very self absorbed, no wonder she has been married twice and is now on her own. Sad but Lulu believes her own PR!! I think she has irritated a lot of women, myself included, with her constant plugging of her "wonder cream" when we all know she has been botoxed, nipped and tucked to an inch of her life! The public are NOT stupid. I do not see Lulu as a sexy fantastic pop star, just a sad lonely lady who is desperately trying to be a teenager at 60 plus!!

I can't stand Lulu.
She acts like a cutesy schoolgirl when she is a ropey old woman with a fake american accent, surrounded by ass kissers.

Plus what is all this "she is a musician" bollocks? has anyone heard her version of The Man Who Sold the World? it's a form of torture.

Jo Wood, happy to stay with Brendan, gracious at her exit.
He also got on really well with Lisa Snowdon and is still good friends with both her and Jo, inviting both to his wedding last year. And he is very popular amongst all the other pros and celebrities. Michelle still tweets too.
I am surprised at Lulu, after so long in the business, you would have thought that she would know how to behave by now.
I got the impression they got on OK. I think she is just angry at being eliminated from the competiton - and if she isn't prepared to blame her dancing, then I suppose Brendan is an easy target as he is too much of a gentleman to answer back.
I think it is newspaper hype though, based on her 'joke' about Monday training and wanting to hog the limelight for herself at the last dance, the first celebrity to ever do so - which says more about her than Brendan.

Brendan is about as far away from the 'bad boy' persona Strictly has created for him as possible. He's incredibly supportive and thankful for the support he gets; I saw his Live & Unjudged tour last year, and can honestly say that he's one of the nicest pros I've met.

I thought her lack of good manners was very revealing .That was obviously the real LuLu
In my opinion Brendan is a great dancer and he worked very hard trying to drag any sort of performance from her. Sure he is equally glad he doesnt have her company today in the training room. She well deserved the chop. Itt should be very interesting tonight.

I feel really sorry for Brendan- he was stitched up in the first place at getting stuck with Lulu. And with Lulu needing to be prompted to say thankyou then that just shows what a self obsessed person she is. Brendan did his best for Lulu and she strikes me as bitter about being kicked out.

She was very lucky to get as far as she did - - she should have gone in the week that poor Rory went. At least Rory could dance and actually had respect for Erin - something which Lulu didn't apprently have for Brendan

I am not Brendan's greatest fan - but he did not deserve the rudeness he was given by her. Shame on the judges too for overindulging her with their marks. Ys Ms Grey I am referring to you especially

Right rant over. Brendan deserved a lot better then what he had to put up with this year

Lulu's parting comment of 'I'm glad I'm not going to see you on Monday' was definitely not tongue-in-cheek. Brendan didn't look too heartbroken either.
That's not what she said.

Tess asked Brendan what he wanted to say to Lulu, and she jokingly replied that line as being what Brendan would like to say to her.

Honestly. The depth people look into to find faults. I'm not Lulu's biggest fan, but she seemed to have a sarcastic sense of humour anyway!

She should have said thankyou to Brendan first - not have needed prompting by Tess

Sadly I think Lulu believes that all her nipping tucking and filling has actually took years off her and so she behaves like a young filly.

Instead the sight of an old brood mare gyrating " sexily " around on her own at the end was rather graceless and embarrasing. She almost tried to evade the dancers coming forward to say goodbye, wanting more me me me me me time on camera. Self centred and ill mannered in the extreme.

The woman is beyond deluded. She was desperately trying to show she could dance!

Did you see her on Let's Dance For Comic Relief? She was down with the kids and thinks she's still got it. She says it was that performance which made her think she could do SCD. I don't suppose her ego was dented in the least when she realised she was dire.

The 62-year-old former pop star said she had no hesitation saying yes to Strictly after her Let's Dance performance went so well.

It was really strange - after their introducton seemed to go so badly I thought they had done a surprisingly good job at forming a partnership. But that theory went out the window after watching that oddly cold exit chat with Tess. Brendan only seemed to mention Lulu as an afterthought as well.

Be interesting to see them on ITT tonight...

I agree with that. I've never understood the all the fuss over Lulu - she only had one hit didn't she? Shout? I detested that as well. To be fair to her, she's always been self-obsessed, me me me, aren't I fabulous, so at least she's retained her character

Soooo glad she's gone

Still got it? She never had it in the first place. She's always been naff. Grab a Granny Night at the Mecca Ballroom rather than Ministry of Sound or the Hacienda.

In defence of Lulu she has had a phenomenal career and the constant negativity towards her really annoys me.

Why do people always have to slate successful artistes? - I think Jason is suffering from this as well judging by some of the comments.

I did not read anything into their dance - they were just not a "touchy feely" couple, Lulu is just a determined feisty woman and was never likely to cling onto Brendan.

I would imagine it's because peope don't like to see con artistes making long careers out of very little talent.

Lulu is far from being the bit of fluff portrayed in her TV shows she is a seriously good blues singer - unfortunately she is judged by her earlier work when Mickey Most managed her.

To maintain a career over 40+ years deserves some respect

Oh, sorry, I thought we were talking about Lulu, real name Marie Lawrie, short ex-Scottish girl who had one hit single in 1964, another failed single sometime in the 70s and a stint modelling for a mail order catalgue.

Nobody asked her to compromise her integrity. "Thank you" costs nothing and it's a polite thing to do.

"butts in" It showed lack of manners on Lulu's part not to thank Brendan for all his efforts in trying to teach her to dance - I was amazed she didn't even look at him = how rude was that totally self absorbed and deserved to go

Lulu came a cropper in a partnership dance, a very different thing from her solo singing career, and there is no need to knock her record sales because of Strictly flop.

Ballroom/latin duet was never going to be her forte, with or without the height problem. If paired with Darren she may have been more comfortable, but clearly she is not sympatique with the idea of two individuals combining for the greater glory of the couple. I switched off on Sunday when the Westlife wailers came on, so never saw Lulu's bizarre solo dance, does anyone have a clip? I suspect her parting shot was in essence:

Stuff your ballroom/latin dancing. I don't need a partner, I can dance solo better, I do it my way. I was not fired. I resigned.
