My point was that whatever their differences and whoever was at fault - he should not keep dragging it up, when she cannot defend herself.

Whilst he behaves like this one starts to wonder whether there was fault on both sides.

As far as I can remember, Bendan didn't say anything about Lulu last night - he said he got on with most of his partners and Zoe mentioned last year, and he said the less said about that the better. He has never really talked about her although he is often asked and he has once said he enjoyed working with Anita and Holly. Lulu was the one who went to the press for publicity, then retracted it as misquotes when she realised they were meeting that evening on ITT and then started again - Bendan didn't defend himself, he never does.
.
Anyway, it really is history now. I am a bit confused as to why this has been brought up again.

On this one I am certain all the fault is with Lulu.

I'm sure Lulu is more than capable of running to the press to 'defend herself' & slag off Brendan again.

Yes I remember there was a thread on here last year about Lulu appearing on Loose Women after being booted off Strictly and openly saying that she hadn't wanted Brendan as a partner!

Who can blame the poor girl having to dance with her nose level with armpits on TV, it was very unfair of the producers to lumber her in that way.

It was also very unfair of the producers to lumber Brendan with an over inflated ego like Lulu, is another way of looking at it

There's a bigger height difference between Colin and Kristina and not once has he moaned about it! On the contrary he's been nothing but positive about Kristina! They've still managed to pull off two decent dances despite it and they've struck up a good rapport. Mind you who wouldn't want to strike up a rapport with the lovely Colin

People, people...

Can't we move on and let Lulu rest in pieces?

Colin is a charming man, 'lovely' is a very good description.

I remember thats what Julian said to Bet and why not, Lulu always looks fabulous in a short skirt as I bet you do.
Sorry Terry, haven't been on DS for over a week but what a nice reply. And yes I do, although I say so myself

Actually Zoe threw herself on top of Brendan - it was just a bit of fun.

As for Lulu, Brendan has never mentioned her name since they were eliminated - but I suppose his silence speaks volumes and he did say once he enjoyed working with Holly and Anita last year and left Lulu out.
However, he was perfectly fine with Lulu and put up with everything over the months, including her rude behaviour when they were first paired together, her unwillingness to work and her arrogance towards him. They actually got on well and she said he was a lovely guy. She was just annoyed they got eliminated and seemed to blame him for her inability to dance.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if her obnoxious and incredibly rude behaviour at their elimination and her slagging him off in the press to promote her book, or whatever it was, was the final straw. After the first time (when she found they would be on ITT together that evening), she said she was misquoted - but then she started up again. It didn't get her far though, as I haven't heard from her since.
Argeed he irritated the bejesus out of me when paired with Lisa Snowdon but he couldn't have done more for Lulu - he adopted a way of teaching that incorporated her musical background, he praised her good points to the media, he deployed his distracting bag of tricks (and he accepted that the resulting flack from the judges with good grace) and in return she ignored him during their last dance and talked over him on the following ITT - Craig stated that he'd have kept Lulu in over Audley Harrision as 'Brendan taught her a lot' on the same program and his expression said 'I'm glad someone noticed' - if he is rude by default then he's allowed to be - he's earned it. To get a idea of what she's like read 'the nasty and nice celebs' thread on the Showbiz forum and you'll find if he found her a pain in the bum - he was by no means unique. I've had some issues with the man in the past but last year he was nothing if not gracious under fire.

Brendan should have been paired with Holly, in my opinion.
Agreed I think she had more chemistry with him during their rhumba than she had with Artem the entire series although he didn't deserve Lulu either. I don't know how deserved Lulu - she wanted Pasha the producers were right to ignore her.

The bloke is known for standing up for his partners. He does it every time. No doubt easier some times than others.

Well I'm glad to be untalented then! I don't particularly like Lulu (although why everyone is banging on about her a year down the line is beyond me), but what's wrong with dressing younger than your age if you can get away with it? I certainly do and can. In my experience, women of my age (50's) can look great in short skirts, etc. Those who criticise are just jealous, not because they wouldn't look as good themselves, but simply because they don't want to try. Which is fine, but don't bitch about others who do. I'm happy to be growing old DISgracefully thanks!
Well, I am a bit of a silver fox myself!!! No seriously, some of the outfits Lulu has turned up in look ridiculous on a mature woman. Helen Mirrel and Judi Dench always look fantastic, beautiful clothes, hair make up but not trying to be 18! I thought Lulu looked daft when she turned up to Loose Women with a long pony tail hair style. Only my opinion!! Nothing is more tragic than mutton dressed as lamb!! (MEN as well as WOMEN) There IS a happy medium between the two!!

Think we need to agree to disagree on this one. You would probably class me as mutton dressed as lamb but my boyfriend doesn't and that's what counts!

Yay! Zombie thread resurrection!

Brendan confirmed what we already knew: his least favourite partner was "awful" Lulu.
His favourite was his girl Saint Sophie.
My favourite continues to be Sunetra.

As you were.

I think it was because they couldn't get on at all (in a similar way Nancy& Anton didn't get on) and that's why there was a negative attitude towards each other. my favourite of Brendan's partners is Lisa

From what I've heard most people have difficulty getting along with Lulu.

Brendan's had 3 of my favourite ever celebrities (Lisa, Sophie, Sunetra); Lulu was definitely his low point.

I think you will find that it is the other way around.
