How would you get your music?

How would you find new bands?

Just think, you'd have to go out to buy music and listen to the radio, or go out to music venues

HMV would be happy.

Wouldn't bother me.

People would probably start socialising again in bigger numbers, benefiting, pubs, bars, club's,leading to more live acts (Rock etc), a major dance music resurgence possibly on the scale of Disco in the 70s and House in the late 80s/90s-we've got nothing like that at the moment.

There would be more live venues for rock groups to play, especially new ones.

People need to get out and partying again anyway IMO.

The recession, new alcohol laws allowing 24 hour sale of alcohol and the news media telling us every 12 year old has a knife and kills grannies for fun have put off a lot of people from wanting to go out... with the exception of those who genuinely think a pint, a fight and a smelly finger make a good night and want that from their Saturday evening/early morning.

its quite ironic that before we had the net, the music business thrived, new genres, styles, fashions, ... maybe its the internet thats killed music!

In time, the record labels will discover new ways how to overcome this.. they already are today to some extent. The internet and the way we use it to communicate will evolve drastically over the next 10 years, it'll be such an massive part of everyones lives.

Simply go back to buying pirate CD's DVD's and VHS tapes of Blue Micky in the Kings Head lol

(that is a reference to Jason Manford, I never bought any pirate CD's etc and Blue Micky does not exist before the forum police condemn me )

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the number of people that listen to the radio has INCREASED the past few years, and dance music has become the most prominent in the charts than it has been since the late 90's.

So I'm a bit confused about some of the comments in this thread.

I'd have to rely on the vast quantities of porn I've already downloaded...

*ahem*

In terms of music I suppose we'd all go back to getting gouged by the High Street retailers like we did back in the good old days.
