As far as I can tell we only have her word for it that she is a "Lawyer" and given that she is delusional about her dancing abilities then perhaps this is also a totally made-up background. She certainly isn't professionally qualified to work here in the UK.
It seems that she still lives in Sven's London flat at his expense whilst she awaits some kind of financial settlement from him (from the 2007 split)
Since she left an extremely wealthy husband to move in with Sven it seems she has made a career out of being supported by men, rather than actually having a job. She is certainly very high maintenance, so I guess the next one will have to be very wealthy to keep up with her!!

I know it's hard to believe that she was born in the US and lived there till age 5, also her mother is American. Another poster on another thread remarked that Nancy has said that she puts the whole thing on because it is funny, go figure

Her eccentric command of English is a puzzle, for she was born in the US to an American mother, lived there for her first five years, and returned to study as a young adult. A friend of hers once said her English is far better than she likes to let on, and Dell'Olio quickly agrees, "Yes, definitely. It's part of the being funny, it's just a game."

Well, I can't say I have a problem with that - a lot of men on the show seemed to be having a good look at them, as I did.

Her Wikipedia article says that her proper name is Annunziata, and that she is a "property lawyer", but says nothing about where she studied law. She did however mention what one of her lecturers at university said on some legal topic, so I gather she has an Italian law degree (whatever that is worth).

As for her English, they give a quote: "I have always been a great admirer of the principles and values behind the work of the Red Cross. The thing that really impressed me is that the Red Cross seems to go everywhere, more than any other charity." If she really did say that, her English seems to be perfectly good.

My impression of her is that she is a naturally attractive person, popular with those who know her, but a bit of an oddball with a weird sense of humour. Her dancing style reminded me of Lucille Ball in "I Love Lucy" - perhaps she studied at the Groucho Marx Dance Academy in Beverly Hills. I think she would be terrific in a stage show "Comedy In Dance".
