I would understand why James would be upset about being told he (and ola) are not needed on tour via EMAIL <<(as he wrote in capitals on his page) but aren't the people that sort the tour out some of the people that are working on the BBC tv show as well? If so, is it wise for James to express himself (via Twitter) before this series of Strictly has finished? And when i say express, I mean specifically this information, not general expression? On the one hand I perfecttly understand that he is just expressing himself spontaneously (though very publicly) via an online medioum which is his choice to do so. I just think whoever sacks the Pro's by email (as in the past) may not have any problem sacking the Jordans (or whoever else) via email if they think some of the pros are being abit too expressive before a certain time (if you know what I mean,... or maybe you don't, lol).

I've never quite warmed to James (even when I've begun to, he does something to rub me up the wrong way again!).

I don't think I'd miss Ola much either. I'm so over her skimpy outfits and catsuits, and her choreography is generally uninspiring (apart from the Rhumba with Chris which still moves me when I watch it).

Having said that, the Beeb should have informed the Jordans of their decision face-to-face. It's bad manners not to.

Can't help but think that James being a bit too lippy this series has put the nail in the coffin with regards to them being left out of the tour. If i was going to watch the tour myself there are others i'd prefer to see tho.

They should have told them face to face. Its a bit disrespectful. Its all about the celebs and the dancers don't seem to get much respect from the producers. I feel sorry for the dancers, they have to work hard on teaching those celebs to dance, some of whom have no ability, then come up with routines. They are probably exhausted by the end of each show but it is also about the so called celebs( who are either trying to revive a career or get themselves noticed)

Can't believe it's "the powers that be" if you mean the BBC. He's criticised one of the judges, who's the "class clown" these days, not the BBC.

It would smack of double standards when the studio manager encourages the audience to boo the judges' decisions.

He is not a happy bunny. Don't really blame him.

My OH adores Ola...and can't stand James....funny that.

He won't be happy.

I never said it wasn't double standards, neither did I say I agreed or disagreed with it, I simply said it didn't surprise me in the slightest.
However, I doubt they're going to get rid of a judge over a professional dancer when the judge is there specifically to comment and give an "expert" opinion and the dancer is there to "teach" the celebrity and not comment.

And no, I wasn't referring to the BBC when I mentioned the powers that be. I was referring to the tour operators who, as mentioned above, are less likely to remove a judge who is considered an "expert" (rightly or wrongly) over a dancer.

Flavia, Brendan and Erin don't do the SCD tour - Flavia has done it in the past but now she has her own show with Vincent - Brendan and Erin/Anton have their own shows too and they've never done the SCD tours. That's the reason I went to see Midnight Tango because I never got to see Flavia & Vincent on the SCD tour.

I'm sad for the Jordans - they're not my favourite dancers/choreographers but I've grown to like them as characters on SCD and I enjoyed seeing them on tour this year. I suppose all good things have to come to an end sometime and nobody is indispensible but as has been said I am surprised they are still doing the SCD tour - what with Ola being a previous champ and her stage presence I would have thought like the other established pros they'd have backers for their own tour/show by now.

The BBC have nothing to do with the tour, I know Craig was the Director last year, Arlene and Ian also choreographed the group routines.

I'm sure Craig isn't that vindicitive, they may not have Celebs to pair them with.

I would have assumed the simple reason James and Ola aren't required for the tour is that their celeb partners this year aren't going to be participating? I don't know about Robbie but Alex has a new(ish) contract on The One Show and they're unlikely to let her go missing for a month for the Strictly tour. It was different for Matt as he signed for last years tour before signing for The One Show. It's also different when they get time off to present other BBC shows but as stated the tour isn't anything to do with the BBC so they're less likely to be supportive of it...

Is Robbie definately not doing the tour then?

Would it be reading too much into this to suggest Alex and Robbie aren't pulling in many public votes, then?

I'd reckon odds on we've seen the last of the Jordans - pity because both are talented but perhaps James has opened his mouth a little too wide and a little too often.

None of them went of their own free will - and questions for dumping them are still asked frequently.

Its ashame, I thought BBC (BRITISH Broadcasting Co) would respect their own country, but evidently not by bringing pros from other countries and sacking the British ie James Jordan and his polish wife

I've not seen/heard any statements but he does have a Radio5 contract (606 - football) - although this could be done via link-up as he could watch matches online at some point or other I suppose.

However with his dad recently gone into care because of Pick's disease it's quite likely that he doesn't want to be away from home (he lives not a great distance from his mother's house) for any length of time.

James posted a tweet last night having a pop at Arlene ... wonder if that has anything to do with it. My little girl was so excited at seeing Ola - she will be so sad when I tell her the news

Just read his Tweets about Robbie Savage. Nasty. Didn't see anything about Arlene though.

Not that I'm aware of!

Local knowledge is useful (but the info is widely available anyway)

I'm surprised that people seem to think James's outburst a couple of weeks ago would be the only reason for them not being asked to do the tour...surely the logistics of which pro dancers were available/required would have been sorted out quite a while ago so they could allocate any returning celebs as pros get knocked out this year? Ola clearly wasn't given a choice of doing the tour without James, which would be logical if it was only James they didn't want, even if she'd say no. And James did tweet a while ago that they usually knew about the tour by now. So I don't think it's as straightforward as the producers deciding to pull the plug after one outburst, which wasn't even the first time something like that has happened!

I've had a suspicion for a while now that the Jordans won't be back next year. They've served the longest, apart from the 3 pros who seem entirely part of the furniture, along with Vincent and Flavia, who I have similar doubts about. I think it'd be a big mistake to drop them (love him or hate him, James brings controversy and therefore press coverage and ratings, Ola's a sweetheart and Vincent & Flavia are very popular), but I have a suspicion that if Strictly returns next year it'll be another massive, potentially ill-advised, shakeup.

I'm sad J&O aren't on the tour though, it really only leaves 2 pro dancers I'd pay to see in the line-up. And I've met both James and Ola and thought they were lovely - Ola especially is very sweet - and always enjoy watching them dance together. None of the partnerships left have the same kind of chemistry, for obvious reasons!

Flavia will be in the West End and Brendan and Erin on their own tours while the Strictly tour is on.

That's no reason at all really - Ola partnered Colin Jackson last year, and practically every pro has had a new celeb partner on at least 1 tour.

Well I assume that maybe they were not called because Robbie and Alex wont be in the tourAlthough thats not really a justification since some pros dont necessarily dance with the celebs with whom they were partnered in the show. Well who knows really what happenned?

Its still bad form to leave it this late before telling them they weren't required though.

James and Ola do a lot of dinner dance exhibitions round our way - and I wouldn't mind betting that they turned down a few bookings on the assumption that they would do the tour as they have done the last few years.

I think telling them they weren't rquired by email was below the belt though - a cowardly way to do it!

To be honest I think James always tries to steal the show when he's dancing in a group so perhaps they want to have more of a team player. It's only my opinion and I've only ever watched on TV and have never been to the live shows.
