Its correct. Craig I think was the main choreographer on this year's tour (ie jan/Feb 2011) and I have a feeling he did last year's too (2010) - and Ive certainly seen it somewhere confirmed he is in charge of 2012. (Arlene was in charge of choreography etc for the tour the first 2 years).

Craig was certainly Tour Director this year.

This link confirms that Craig is indeed the director of the tour for the second year.

So the man down the pub was obviously right.

I think it stinks that James and Ola have not been asked to do the tour, especially as Robbie is doing it.

If there is any truth in the suggestion that Craig's personal feelings about James had something to do with the decision, then my respect for Craig will drop through the floor.

If James and Ola don't so the tour, that only leaves the newer pros and I don't like the message that sends out. It's not just a slap in the face the Jordans, but it shows total disregard for all their fans.

In case anyone is interested, there is a petition here to try and get them included in the tour.

BBC probably don't have to pay the new younger dancers as much as James & Ola, Brendan, etc. I'm sure James and Ola will do their own thing like Brendan, Flavia and ? oh dear forgotten his name already

It would have been worrying (for James anyway) if Alex had been on the tour and he wasn't. That doesn't explain Ola's absence though. Maybe it's both or neither

The tour is nothing to do with the BBC.

The dancers are more than likely to be on equal pay for the tour, I doubt money has anything to do with it.

And I'm sure with James and Ola it is both or neither - why would one tour and the other sit around doing nothing for a couple of months when instead they can do lessons and cabarets in the time instead?

James and Ola have not done their own tour so far and had cleared their calendar to do the official tour as usual, but the BBC has nothing to do with the tour. It is a separate business.

I could be wrong, but I think in the past if a celeb and their pro partner were both up for doing the tour, then they would be paired together. There have always been 'odd' celebs and pros to be matched up, but this is the first time something like this has happened.

What exactly does "tour director" mean though? Is he actually responsible for hiring decisions? Or does he direct the tour - choreography and so on?

I guess I'm pursuing this because I'm not at all convinced by the "Craig is an evil James Hatah" argument.

So why does a leaftet for the Live Tour at Wembley arena that came with my tickets for this saturday have the BBC logo on it.

Because the name or TM "Strictly Come Dancing" is owned by the BBC. I think the Tour is organised by the same Company as the ITV Dancing On Ice Tour, so they employ the performers and it has nothing to do with the Beeb.

I wonder...

Didn't Robbie original say he was not doing the tour?

Maybe the Jordans were told they would not be required for the tour because neither of their celebs were doing it. And then maybe Robbie then changed his mind and said he would do the tour.

Perhaps as a result of Robbie's change of mind, things are going on in the background to get them on the tour after all.

Just a thought.

But that would leave an odd number again, and after they were so public about it on twitter, they've probably burnt their bridges, and it wouldn't look great on their part to suddenly say yes after being so bluntly treated either.

There's already been at least one thread on this subject in the last month (or maybe 2 months).

Yes don't worry about it. What does it matter anyway if it get repeated? Not everyone will have seen it first time round.
