Playing from USB stick on Wharfedale LP250DTRHDMI

Hi, I just bought a second-hand Wharfedale LP250DTRHDMI off eBay.

It works OK but I’m interested in the USB function.

I recorded a half hour programme.
Then put a USB stick in the slot in the front of the recorder.
I then went into my recordings library & chose the option to “Export to USB”
It did this, I took it out, put the USB stick in my computer & was able to play & watch it… Great

I noticed the format was MPEG-2 TS Video (.ts)

I haven’t a clue what this means (I’m not at all technically minded) but used a video converter programme to transfer a video from my computer into this format & onto the memory stick.

Back into the Wharfedale… Menue > Media Browser..
It reads the title along with the programme I originally transferred but how do I play it?

Any & all help would be greatly appreciated

You need to get the right video format to get it working. Try different conversions.

I think I've got the right format, when I enter the "Media Browser" it reads the title, just the same as it reads the title of the programme I recorded & copied today from the Hard Drive.

I just can't find an option to play either of them, even the program which is from the Wharfedale

Isn't there an option in Media Browser to copy the file from the USB stick to the PVRs HDD and then it will appear in the Library and be played as normal? I don't have my LP250HDMI unit connected to my system ATM so can't check. You have done well to do what you have done so far. It's years ago since I tried but I didn't manage to load anything other than .jpg images and MP3's onto my PVR.

So far, that does seem to be.... but I'm still playing with it.
It does seem daft though to design a box that can transfer recordings from HDD to USB. Then obviously read them from the USB but not play them or transfer to the HDD ...
Or maybe it can but I just haven't found out how yet...
Anyone know for sure?
