That is completely exaggerated
The official ratings for the final of TXF is higher than Strictly and is the most watched show of the year......

TXF average 12.4 million this season compared with around 10.4 to strictly

I reckon with Olympics year they will be trying for more than one contestant from Athletics - I predict -

Dame Kelly Holmes (good size for Vincent?)
An ex-athlete like Darren Campbell - good personality, but Michael Johnson would be amazing (definite posture issues looming when he famously ran with such an upright stance all those years).

Reckon they will try to avoid people that have done the jungle & ice shows, so that would mean no Lembit Opik (seriously, he would be out wk2 max anyway).

If they've got any brains they will re-introduce the raising money for charity angle which will give them a much better chance of attracting some big names. I don't think Princess Beatrice would be beyond the realms of possibility then, maybe even Pippa at a push...it might even be enough to persuade Kylie...

Some realistic names in the mix -
Michael Vaughan - twitter mate of Robbie Savage
Brian Cox - yes, The Guardian and other broadsheets would like that

Ive heard Rebecca Addlington has been banded about too. I think she might even have commented to somebody that she might consider it after the olympics.

Couldn't see him doing it in a million years, but I'd bankrupt myself voting for him if he did - I'll content myself with listening to his lovely voice during the Olympics this year *sigh/swoon*
