Carley is now really good at the dancing in Legally Blonde and there's lots of it - she can act too.

Helen Skelton might do well - but there's all the other Blue Peter girls - not least Zoe Salmon who had most of the right abilities in DOI but was a better build height wise for SCD.”

Vincent has said that his ideal partner is Elaine Paige (and she was very good in her Sports Relief special!)

I haven't read the entire thread, has anyone suggested Miranda Hart ?
She loves the show, 6ft,1inches tall, 6ft,4 inches in heels? that might pose a problem.. but it would be.."such fun".

I must be one of the very few people who doesn't like Miranda Hart
I know she's a big fan of the show but I'd really rather she doesn't do Strictly.

I'm sure she's said she would like to do it when she has the time. Gethin could give her tips

Maybe someone like Russell Watson.

He seems like a nice guy and could potentially be very strong in ballroom. He'd also represent the classical contigent previously represented by Lesley Garrett and Aled Jones.

Mel C is trained as a dancer and has dance teaching qualifications. They ought to have a dance trained show sometime and they could let some others like tina Barrett from S Club see what they can do - she trained as a ballet dancer.

Atomic Kitten are probably too successful at present -on stage or TV- or the ones you would want are. Like Hearsay - who are also doing well everywhere. Even Steps are having a come back. Its the old problem of if you are watchable you may well be doing something when SCD comes up.

There's an awful lot of suitable people who have done DOI already - at some point they really should start to use them again.

Stacey would be interesting -she's fit and musical and smart - she's not a BBC name - much more ITV - though I think she's done some of the late night quiz shows.

You do realise how old she is now don't you? If she has a wardrobe malfunction one or both of them will end up with a broken toe.

I believe Susannah Reid is pretty useful on the dance floor.
Like to see Paula and Sue on the show but...Paula Radcliffe has said she is useless at dancing and singing and I suspect Sue Lawley could be the same. Another pair of Fiona Phillipses ?

Some of the females on my list would be:

- Glynis Barber

- Pippa Forrester

- Naomi Bentley

- Jo Woodcock

- Amanda Byram

- Kirsty Young

And they would probably also be on my dancing wishlist
