I was a fan of Johnny; not a huge fan but I thought he was the most genuine person on there and technically had a great, but odd (which isn't bad) voice.

But he has been voted off, based on lack of votes. If they were to bring back a contestant who had been voted off (due to low public votes) I would say bring Johnny back as it is only fair (even though I prefer Sophie) beause he was the last one to leave.

However, it would simply be unfair and I hope Johnny fans realise this.

If they are to bring any contestants back (which, again I dont think they should) it should be one of the 4 contestants who was eliminated by the judges and not based on our votes. Obviously, the choice would be Amelia.

Even so, I find it a bit hypocritical when some forum members slate the fact Ashford was brought back into The Risk, and then I see some of the same ones asking for Johnny to be reinstated!

Oh, and as a footnote, Mr Blonde you have my condolences

When Emily was axed, she wasn't replaced. Nobody should replace Frankie either, just have a two person final.

Say for the sake of an argument that Johnny got more votes than Kitty and the judges got rid of Johnny (which they did) then surely he'd still be eligible to come back the same as Amelia.

But the format was announced before the official voting began. There would be a double elimination, and that is the usual format of a double elimination

Series 3: Bottom 3 was Dionne (eliminated automatically), showdown between Ashley and Kerry

Series 7: Katie (eliminated automatically), showdown between Wagner and Mary

When I said 'the obvious choice would be Amelia' I really meant from my perspective (and the fact that is the general perspective on DS abotu the 4 who were voted off first: just see the poll)
They would have to open up a public vote for 2 Shoes, James, Amelia, Jonjo, which Amelia would most likely win anyway lol

No the public didn't. The public paid good money to vote for their favourite to stay in, not to get rid of any one specific act. This would only be the case if the vote were to evict.

With Frankie now gone, three acts were eliminated, when it was only to be two. Johnny come home!

Thats absolute rubbish don't you understand, James Michael, Amelia Lily etc have as much right to come back as Judges Houses acts, they were booted out in round 2 of judges houses it just so happened to be on stage so people assume they made the final, they didn't, they didn't even record the charity single with the rest of the group.

It has to be Johnny any other decision will be greeted with outrage.

No, I understand what you meant. I was trying to work out in my own mind that as Johnny was sent home by the judges...............IF he polled more votes than Kitty (so had it been based on lowest votes she would have gone) would he fall into the same category as 'Amelia and others'.

You haven't paid money to get rid of anybody... you've paid money to say whom you like. It's a vote to save. So bringing back someone that you didn't happen to like anyway is not invalidating your vote... you never paid to say you wanted them gone.

In any case, you're not paying for an outcome. You haven't paid to save or eliminate anyone; you've paid to express an opinion. If loads of people express the same opinion as you, then yay. But it's not guaranteed. Would you start demanding your money back because the person you voted to save got eliminated? Because that's essentially the same argument you're espousing.

I'm not saying Johnny should be brought back, by the way - I loved him but he'd just get eliminated again, so what's the point... plus such producer favouritism would be distasteful, as it was in BB7. I'm just pointing out how facile and fallible the "good money" argument is... Endemol/C4 should never have had to give that voting money back all those years ago. Yes, it still annoys me!
