Because he got a free ride to the Top 7 without having to face the public vote AND he didn't even qualify for the finals to begin with. If I were Johnny, The Risk, Sophie, and Sami...I would be like "WTF"?

I heard Ray Quinn is coming back.

At least Wagner would make me smile!

You are right and James seemed to find it hard from what we saw on that first show, the nerves really seemed to be there, but as I said I liked him and he would be my choice, as bringing backs acts voted off would not seem in the least bit fair, James was not voted off by the public, his stupid mentor shoved him out.

I really don't think it would be fair to bring James back at this stage. The other contestants have gone through 5 weeks of performances and public votes and has survived every time. They have earned the right to be on that stage on Saturday through their own hard work. James was eliminated before the public vote started because he wasn't good enough in the first live show. Why should he be put back into the competition when he has done a single live performance that wasn't good enough??

I don't think it would be fair to bring back anyone at all!!

I wholeheartedly agree. He would show these rank amateurs how to put on a SHOW.

He was better than Frankie.

But bring back Wagner!

If they don't bring someone back and have a show where nobody gets sent home, then there is little point in having a Results show on Sunday, cos there aren't any results. But as they have guest acts committed, they'll have to have a show. So basically there's little point in watching at all this weekend if it's a case of a "free pass" week for the contestants.

The only person who thought it was not good enough was Gary Barlow as we were not allowed to vote, for me the only one not good enough was Frankie. We have no idea either if the people gone were the bottom of the votes either, the judges have saved who they wanted to save, so some may be there by default.

I think they have to bring someone back or we have a very poor final to look forward to, we will have too few people and if they decide to have a week of no eliminations that will be totally irrelevant and boring.

Do you think they might try a public vote where all the eliminated contestants compete for a place? (They would show video excerpts of their prior performances, not have them on live.)

The only thing wrong with that is the following week, they'd have one extra contestant than they'd intended having, as whoever is voted back in would surely not perform till next week. Then there'd have to be another double elimination.

The simplest thing to do would be to bring back the last person who went out, i.e. Johnny.

On Jonny coming back my brother made a valid point on the phone, he said jonny left with such dignity why would he want to come back and be booted out again, and I kinda agree with him.

I think they have to bring back someone, but the Risk are out as they polled the lowest, and having both Jonny and the Risk perform for votes defeats the object, the public may not buy into spending more money on voting for them again.

In fairness, that first week James was rubbish - as bad as Frankie!! It was quite obvious that it was between the 2 of them to go. I remember a lot of people on here saying that it was likely to be James and that the only category they couldn't call was the girls....although none of them are as good as Wagner, and they don't have the Loaf, so the only answer to this whole thing it to bring back the Lord!!!!

Frankie, Marcus and Craig were given current songs and sang at the front of the stage, where as for some reason the producers and stylists gave James one of the worst ever Beatle songs, dressed him up like some Dickensian busker and sat him at the back of the stage. I don't think he stood a chance.

Yes but how many were left, what was she booted off for?

Also things have changed with how the show is done now, we are down to too few, so other than no one goes someone will have to come back, and if no one goes that is a total cop out.

That was Series 4, & they still had enough contestants for a three-person final without Emily, since they hadn't had the planned double elim. yet.

Exactly, they are down to too few now.

People are tipping it to be the Risk, I am not so sure about that.

The poor kid's already disadvantaged enough, by not having a very good voice or any discernible personality.

Hadn't thought of the bolded bit but I have to agree. I liked Johnny but realistically don't think he would last much longer if asked back so could see him saying thanks but no thanks—unless he was guaranteed a tour spot which I suppose he might be. That would be a lucrative proposition and difficult to turn down.
