... to deprive us all of the sight and sound of him painstakingly squeaking out those first few futile "Rah Rah Ruh Mah Mah"s this coming Saturday.

It would have been TV GOLD—no, PLATINUM—NO, TITANIUM.

Devastating.

Kitty to get inspired by the Yeo Valley ads

I wont be missing Frankie, but I will miss the few minutes of his singing to go put the kettle on

I feel sorry for the lad. I don't quite know how he managed to get enough votes to stay in but it is hard to fall so publicly so young. I hope he sorts himself out and finds something he is good at.

He's a bum, he's too lazy to do anything of worth.

What nice sentiments, good to see some constructive empathy. Thanks for restoring a little bit of my faith in the FMs here.

The opposite to my comment above

Frankie did it to himself, he is old enough to know how to behave.

It doesn't make it any less true because you don't agree. Sleeping around, drinking, taking drugs and having no discernible career path is something to support?! Even before he joined x factor, he was doing naff all. He's lazy and disgusting.

Well by the same token it doesn't make it any more true because you think it does it?

While I don't dispute that the BIB is all true to a greater or lesser extent I just think it is a bit harsh to write a 19 year old off for, well, behaving like many 19 year olds. Most of them grow out of it and 10 years down the line are perfectly reasonable members of society, it's called growing up.

The thing that struck me about the other post I quoted was the decency of the recognition that it must be hard to fail so publicly and the expression of sympathy for anyone in that situation. For all that Frankie wasn't talented enough for this show and for all the much talked about bad behaviour, he's just a 19 year old guy who is getting a real public thrashing. Anyone who hasn't got sucked into the the orgy of moralistic hatred for him should feel a twinge of pity for him imo

You know, I'm beginning to think you complain about Kitty over much.

I am starting to think, you fancy her / are in love with her, and she has rejected your charms, and this is just the bitterness of heartbreak talking ....

In an often cruel world I find it hard to be too hard on someone who is doing/has done himself more damage than he has done to anyone else. I think in the long run it will be easier for him in that I don't think he is talented (re singing) and would probably agree. It would be really dreadful to look back if he does get himself back together again and realise just what a chance he blew. As it was I don't think he would have lasted much longer.

Yeah agree that he just didn't have the talent for this competition, and in many ways there must be some relief in it being over. It can't be great to be so publicly bad at what you do. Maybe it will be the making of him in the long run (as a person, not as a singer).

Farewell Frankie. Your star shone briefly and then you were gone. But you will remain a peerless legend forever.

Same could be said last year about Matt Cardle, except he lacked the excuse of Frankie's youth.

It might work in his favour, who knows? He obviously has fans because he wasn't voted out.
He's young enough to sort himself out, pity it is all so public though,

Finally someone who has not jumped on the bully bandwagon!

I don't think anyone understands what it would be like being constantly slammed by the press/internet, chances are they never will. But its probably not nice at all especially as hes only been in the public eye for 2-3 months and has been picked up and dropped by the xfactor bosses.

He's an idiot and saying so is not bullying.

Since when was saying that Frankie was an idiot and a lot of what happened was of his own making jumping on the 'bully bandwagon'? The problem with turning the situation into 'big, bad X-Factor is to blame, Frankie is the victim and anyone who criticises Frankie's behavior is a bully' is that it shifts the blame away from him. He needs to realise and acknowledge that he's done something wrong and sort himself out. Hopefully, getting the boot from the show has been the kick up the arse that he desperately needs.
