While I don't dispute that the BIB is all true to a greater or lesser extent I just think it is a bit harsh to write a 19 year old off for, well, behaving like many 19 year olds. Most of them grow out of it and 10 years down the line are perfectly reasonable members of society, it's called growing up.

The thing that struck me about the other post I quoted was the decency of the recognition that it must be hard to fail so publicly and the expression of sympathy for anyone in that situation. For all that Frankie wasn't talented enough for this show and for all the much talked about bad behaviour, he's just a 19 year old guy who is getting a real public thrashing. Anyone who hasn't got sucked into the the orgy of moralistic hatred for him should feel a twinge of pity for him imo”

I feel for Frankie, he was never any good at singing but he and they knew that. How anyone can be so rude/nasty/spiteful/vile (delete as appropriate) towards someone they have never met and only have what the press and syco/itv want them to see to go on is in my mind disgusting. He hasn't killed anyone(maybe a few songs) but he is a 19 year old who is at that age, had he not been on this programme he would have carried on doing it in obscurity and that is his problem he carried on doing what he has been forgetting his every move was going to be scrutinised by the world and his dog. Some of the comments about him on here and in other places just show what nasty shallow people there are in the world. What has his hair or his clothes got to do with anything or whether he has had a wash or not(Amy Winehouse always looked like she needed a bath), criticise his singing by all means but to start calling him a waste of space, lazy, cruel, selfish etc is wrong. Yes he has done something idiotic who hasn't when they were 19 I know I did and I carried on for a good 10 years (I still do the odd idiotic thing now). He has something about him, other people have obviously spotted it as well otherwise he wouldn't have stayed in so long and also he wouldn't have got all these girls that he says he has.
