John Wilding I presume.

thing is when most people screw up they don't do it in front of millions and in the full glare of the UK tabloid media. I feel sorry for him because it is obviously his way of dealing with life and that is his choice and as a 18/19 year old he is at that age where he does experiment with things such as drugs. The show could have handled him better instead of feeding his need to be the badboy, they have used his badboy reputation to their advantage and as soon as it looked like it was about to backfire they drop him and leave him to deal with the fall-out on his own. Also some of the comments on here about him are disgusting you may not like his antics but some of the comments are just downright vile.

I suspect that he is simply not as grown as up as he ought to be at his age and the whole thing just went to his head. I thought he looked quite embarrassed about it all on stage on Saturday. The knowledge that his days were numbered by (a) his conduct and (b) the fact that he isn't a good singer had well and truly dawned, I am sure. Nobody looked more surprised than he when he was put through to the next round. We also don't know the level of peer pressure that he was put under to act outrageously (not necessarily from anyone involved with the show) but I expect that his ability to resist that sort of thing is quite low.

I must admit that I do feel a little bit sorry for him because he has messed up and humiliated himself in just about the most public way possible. It is easy to point the finger and say, 'Serves him right'. There, but for the grace of God, however...

If he does manage to avoid slipping straight back into obscurity (a big if, admittedly) we might yet see a more mature, and likeable, Frankie.

^^^ Agree with all the above.

Addictions? Really? Who said he had addictions? What would that be - alcohol, sex, cocaine? He likes a drink, that doesn't make him an alcoholic, same with sex and cocaine.

^^^ More overreaction!

I agree about screwing up. However, I'm not sure he's on a par with Docherty or Winehouse. Tbh, he's no worse than many of my friends were at his age and they've turned out ok.
