Big Brother worked on a 'vote to evict' system; in that case, voters had directly paid money to evict the contestant in question. Nobody specifically paid money to eliminate Johnny or The Risk (unless they voted for every single one of the other acts just to hurt their chances, in which case they were willingly wasting their money anyway).

Big difference though in people spending money on voting someone out though and the uproar was with good reason.

Johnny or no one is the only fair way, personally I would want Joe to have a shot but we are too far in.

As for those saying people should have a refund for voting for Franky that is just ridiculous, he broke a rule and was kicked out.
The same in BB if someone is kicked out for maybe 'harming' another contestant or contact with the outside world etc you can't start claiming a refund because the contestant broke the rule not the show.

Th risk are out and should stay out. Its not fair to anyone else left in. And is not right. End Of.

If they come back it will be the end of x factor, trust! There will be uproar.

Johnny or nobody end of.

I don't think Jonny will want to come back to be honest with you, his own mentor voted him off..

For me they have to add someone back in, and that someone should be James.

90% of viewers probably don't remember James' name. Chances are he'd get through the first week on a sympathy vote, & then he'd crash massively the following week as he hasn't had a chance to build up a fanbase.

if ashford or whatever his name is gets resurrected yet again i think i'll just stop watching to be honest.

it would be beyond farcical.

I hope The Risk come back... Not a fan of boybands, but their harmonies were amazing in their first two shows, before they lost a member through no fault of their own.
They deserve a chance to 'blend' again and make the final interesting.

Johnny wasn't voted out by the public - he was sent home in a sing off. The Risk were bottom of the vote.

You can make a case for Johnnny coming back - but not the Risk.

However if Johnny became the fifth member of the Risk......

But James was voted off by his own mentor also. Why would he want to come back?

He could always join Little Mix. Ashford himself said that it was the end of the X Factor journey unless he came back and was put into Little Mix, which I thought was a good reaction.

As I've said to my friends and on various Facebook statuses about this subject, ideally I'd want Johnny to come back, he has a fantastic voice and a personality to match, but it's more than likely going to be the Risk, because they already have a massive fan-base (The riskettes anyone?) and they're more likely to sell a proper album/Christmas single. Though I would like to hear Johnny doing a proper Christmassy song, Last Christmas maybe?

'Widely tipped'?

What, widely tipped by the few in the Daily Mail editor's office when they cobbled together the article?

Oh come on it's so obvious that we gonna see a clip with Gary doing soul searching, then he will have a genius idea, make a mysterious phone call to someone and et voila.
Charlie will come back as a solo singer.
If i wouldn't know better I'd say the whole "make Charlie your lead singer" talk was the perfect set up cause it showed how much Gary thinks of him.

It is only fair that Johnny gets asked to come back, if he refuses then the risk, i do like the idea of charlie as a solo singer tho

It's not actually fair for Johnny to return cause Gary lost one of the boys so a boy should come back as a replacement.
Charlie is a fame hungry backstabber so he'd say yes in a second and ditch his second band.

i thought that to start with but well gary shouldnt have picked frankie in the 1st place, johnny went in the sing off so he should be asked back before the risk who had least votes and went out

But it makes no sense, maybe if Johnny was in the bottom two with Frankie but he wasn't. He has nothing to do with Frankie. It would give Louis an unfair advantage.
I despise Gary but like it or not the majority wanted him to have 3 boys in the competition so he should have 3.

if they brought the risk or johnny back it would show a bias towards one act that shouldnt occur in a fair competition.

the risk and johnny were genuinely kicked off by the voting process.

Frankies rule breaking had no effect on that process.

Subsequently johnny and the risk shouldnt benefit from it.

That'd be the first he's had since 2008, then.

But seriously, I doubt any of the judges (excepting perhaps Tulisa) care too much how many acts they have, especially since they seem to have so little control over which acts they put through in the first place. If Louis gets Johnny back, Gary won't care - he's probably forgotten James' name already (as has, um, most of the country).

That's nice. What do you expect the producers to do, then? It seems their other options are to suffer a ratings/revenue loss from an elimination-free weekend, or to suffer a ratings/revenue loss from a 2-act final.

It's not like either act can really win, even if they're brought back; this is purely a matter of practicality, & these notions of fairness are decidedly impractical.

I really hope this is true, if you ask me, the voting was fixed to allow Frankie to stay to go on the tour, and they kept him in over the Risk, only for him to to drop out, so they will bring the Risk back in. I really want to see Charlie again.

I suppose the question is, if Frankie had gone last week, would they still have had a double elimination?

If it had gone to normal bottom two sing-off then it would have been the risk plus either Kitty or Johnny.

To be 100% fair they would have to bring The Risk and Johnny back.

Much as I love the risk they got the least votes, the can't come back.

If the Risk had such a huge fan base why aren't they still in it? Why did they get the least public votes?

After all the accusations of vote fixing last year and the amount of money that ITV have been fined for vote rigging in other programmes do you honestly think they would go and fix votes just to keep Frankie in and risk losing yet more millions in fines and their integretary? No one would ever take ITV or Syco and Simon Cowell seriously ever again, their reputation would be in tatters. Simon Cowell is a shrewd businessman and will know how it would effect his reputation if that did happen.

IF they had a case for refunds it wouldn't be from ITV, it would be from Frankie himself for being such a pillock ......
