Ah thanks Crabbie I don't ever try to belittle people's opinions but if people try to send the wrong perceptions about sales etc I just try and give it the right perspective because as someone pointed out to me, the media DO get a lot of their stories from this forum believe it or not, and if the perception presented out there is it's a hideous flop that's the sort of thing they will run with, without even considering the factors so I just try to redress a bit of balance, to still be in the Top 20 in his fourth sales week is fine and I think the XF obsessed MF are starting to realise this now with Cher's sales that actually you can't compare last year's crop of acts sales with Alexandra or bloody Andy Abraham because too many things have changed. I notice some people are quite quiet now

Just read Professor Green has dropped a further place since yesterday so down 11 from 3. That my friends is what you call a 'mighty drop' and if it remains so or gets worse, I await with baited breath for the DS chart report to mention this fact given Matt fell a shockingly 'mighty' SIX places last week according to them

I know I've already quoted this but I've just noticed something. At 2 minutes ish he looks at someone/something in the audience and smiles. Well, thats where we were all stood and I swear on my life thats when he noticed us all singing all the words!! Anyone else think the same??

I did notice that he was looking in our direction at that bit, don't remember it from when we were actually there but it's possible!

Shedding tears - I'm downright celebrating. Should he not be the effigy we burn on the bonfire at our House 40 Starlight party.

I am pretty sure that Cher's album wasn't released until Monday morning (not sure why) so she hasn't actually got an extra day's sales. She's only going to have 6 days of sales by the end of the week.

I thought the general consensus on the MF (even from the haters) was that Matt's first week sales were pretty respectable and much more than many of them had predicted. I know they expected the album to plummet very quickly down the charts but it's holding up quite well. With all the imminent new releases it will probably drop quite a bit in the next few weeks but I hope Starlight's release in early December will get people buying again.

He's sold 115k so far and was at 12 in the album chart. He's at 18 in mid-weeks but has climbed a place since yesterday

This is amazing!!! I'll never forget those first couple of lines and the way his voice sounded - it was just breathtaking!!

And yep - he was definitely looking right at us (or in our direction anyway) - I remember that moment VERY clearly Happened a few more times too - but that first time, and that little smile, is etched in my brain.
