I have all my cats insured with Asda. Earlier this year i had to make a claim for my cat Shelly. We decided to get Asda to pay the vets direct instead of us forking out the money. However it took about 2months for our vets to recieve payment from them cause Shelly wasn't vaccinated. Of course i knew beforehand no insurances would pay out unless the cat was vaccinated, however at the time of claiming i had completely forgot. So we got Shelly done, notified Asda and the money was eventually paid, but it did take ever so long even after we got Shelly done.
I've never until this year had my cats insured or vaccinated, but now they all get vaccinated every year, they are wormed and flea'd and of course insured now. Another of my cats Heidi was in at the vets for nearly 2days but this time we payed the bill there and then since our vets only accept direct payment if the bill goes over £500 or if you have huge difficulty paying. We contacted Asda Saturday afternoon for a claim form and we are yet to recieve it..today being Wednesday. We called again and they said they will send another out. But maybe the 1st one might arrive tomorrow?????? The 2nd one, an asda customer service person told us it should be here by Monday. My question is how long does it take for the claim form to get here??? Shelly's form came the next day so i find it really weird it's not arrived yet. Most vets don't have a time scale as to when you bring the form in, especially if you have paid the bill allready.
Has anyone had trouble with Asda?? Has anyone gone through them to make a claim and what did you think of the whole service????
