Would you like to see soldier Jonjo Kerr return at the weekend?
It would be a lovely gesture. |

Why should he be there?
Two reasons: 1) He can't sing 2) Isn't he in Afghanistan right now? |

It would be a lovely gesture. Being one of "Our Boys" doesn't qualify you for a singing competition. He never should've been in the last 16, he wasn't good enough. |

I wouldn't mind - I secretly rather enjoyed his performance - I like a man in uniform. Its not as if this were a singing competition

I think that's unfair - for one thing he isn't a scummy drugbag and as far as my memory holds me he could sing well enough to hold his own in a pub karaoke competition - which is frankly a lot better than Frankie who just mumbles his way through songs.

Lovely gesture, yes.... but only a gesture.

If he is serving it makes me all the more likely to vote for him - it would be so funny if someone who can't take part gets voted back in. How would they dig themselves out of that hole?

Since when has the X Factor been a singing competition? Every time the judges, especially Cowell, have ever got stick for putting through a joke contestant or about saving an act that couldn't sing (Jedward for example) over an act that could (Lucie Jones for example) they have always justified themselves by saying that it isn't a singing competition but about finding the 'X' Factor.
Just like the other old classic: "You're the same every week, we're not seeing any versatility" Then, the next week: "That wasn't the real you, you should stick to what you do best" |

Well I hope he is voted back in a wins it.
I would be nice for a member of the Armed Forces to win a TV talent show so they can see how appreciated they are by the public. This is the charity he is an ambassador of: Heroes Children Fund http://heroeschildrenfund.co.uk/ |

I'm not entirely sure he even went back to his unit let alone active duty. His tweets certainly didn't give any hint that he was. he was gigging at a sports event at the weekend that was organised by tickets for troops and npower.

Yep, soldier boy is going to get a kick on the balls live on stage -again , and on remembrance weekend to boot.
The show sinks to yet new lows. |

Bit harsh Charlotte for you.. no matter how he got there he did, please don't steal that away from him as well, he did not vote himself there..the judges did... IN ALL there wisdom.. hell they voted Frankie there.. would you say he was more deserving then... think again, this guy goes out to defend you and others so lets not beret him.. it is really uncalled for..
I merely pointed out he, like two of the other three, will be paraded on stage and told they are not wanted - again - for our supposed viewing pleasure. I dont think using these people that way is right, it was crass exploitation the first time, now they are repeating the trick its verging on humiliation. I didnt say it was his fault, I'm saying it shouldnt be happening ,x factor production has reached a new low. |
